Are thre restrictions on what mp3's you can put on it? ie., do they have to come from itunes, or do less legally obtained mp3's work as well? [/quote] I've got one, no problem with mp3's from anywhere. I'm using itunes for the pc to manage the songs... I've also used a program called EphPod. That program doesn't like podcasts though and will give an error when you boot it if there is a podcast on your ipod. I don't remember right now, but I think it even let me copy things off of it to my other machine. I bought mine from a friend...$110 bucks (he bought a new one) mine is a 20 gig 4th generation and I'm pretty happy with it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There are tons of them cheap if you want to pick one up, depending on storage space. I wanted a new mp3 player and NEEDED abigger flash drive, so this killed two birds with one stone. I have 92 songs on it right now with about 450mb still free. I have some large files on there though, so I think the thing could easily hold up to 250 songs. 1GB flash drive probably runs in the range of $80-$100, so this thing was a steal at $38. It's also an FM radio (although I haven't tried that out really yet) and a recorder. It's not as flashy or stylish as an ipod, but it gets the job done just the same! But it does kind of looks cool and it looks similar to an ipod (mini I think). I wish he'd get the model you got (and I got for my wife), but in a 2 GB version (mainly for the drive space). I tried to purchase two of the 1gb model, but there is a language issue and when I emailed the seller he didn't undertand what I was asking.
