I'm lovin it. so I thought that i would throw out a little smack talk against you lowly buckeye pickers. jk. Hope the game is close a little, but i don't really expect IU to win that one.. The closest the game will be is when it`s 0-0.

Indiana doesn`t stand a chance ! :pointlaff:

I`m surprised they beat Iowa. But Iowa was banged up,
and Ohio State already smoked them anway...

That was a good win, and I am no OSU fan, but did you happen to watch that utter domination today against Michigan State at their place?
OSU is scary good. Michigan is the team that needs to worry. And I would love a West Virginia versus OSU BCS game for the title.

Make sure you follow through and put your butt in the stands for them now (if you can). I couldn't believe how empty that place was for such a highly-ranked opponenet. Give that team some home-field advantage!

Solid win for them today. That late INT was incredible.

IU has invested themsleves wisely into their basketball program, and it has turned out swimmingly.
IU has the worst and smallest stadium in the Big Ten. They consistently field a bad team. What more do you want out of a Big Ten school?

You know, last year I saw a thing on TV where they talked about when IU hosts OSU every other year (unless it is a year they don't play of course), that is the game they take an aerial shot of the stadium and there is alot of red in the stands. They use that picture in their university brochures and other promotional uses.

I was in bloomington friday night for midnight madness. IU B-ball under kelvin Sampson is going to be VERY VERY good. They just got a commitment from Eric Gordon the #1 gaurd in the country to play form them in 07. Word is that Rose the #3 player in the country wants to play alongside Gordon. Watch out big ten. We all know that Odon is only playing this year for the Buckeyes. :lmao:

btw, the fans in bearcat country got treated to CJ and Bronson on friday night. that would have been fun to be at.

Bring back Mike Davis! He was good to my UK Wildcats....
It won't matter. UK will own IU again this year, as usual.
Nothing to see here, move along....

As Indiana football fans wonder how those same hapless Hoosiers who were walloped by Wisconsin rallied to beat Illinois on the road and Big Ten powerhouse Iowa at home, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel offers an elementary explanation.

“They’re probably doing a few less things than they did a month ago,” Tressel noted. “And, they’re doing them much, much better.”
Tressel’s top-ranked and undefeated Buckeyes entertain IU Saturday (noon, ESPNU) at the Horseshoe in Columbus.

“I think they’re a lot like their coach,” Tressel said of the Hoosiers. “They’re tough. They’re courageous. They go as hard as they can possibly go.”
And, as they proved in the recent win over the Hawkeyes, they are not easily intimidated by rankings.

“They don’t care what anyone thinks about their chances,” Tressel said. “They just play and play and play. It’s fun to watch them on film because they do it with great effort.

“You have to admire the job that Coach (Terry) Hoeppner is doing over there. They’re down 23-7 to Ball State ... and win. They’re down 25-7 against Illinois ... and they win. And they’re down 21-7 to Iowa ... and they win. That tells me somebody’s got to have some poise, and usually it starts with the guy who’s got his hands on the ball all the time.”

That, of course, is freshman quarterback Kellen Lewis, named “USA Today’s” Player of the Week after throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns against Iowa.

Nevertheless, the simple truth is IU will be playing Ohio State before a crowd of more than 102,000, and the Buckeyes are fresh off a 38-7 road romp at Michigan State. The win extended OSU’s winning streak to 14 games, the longest in the nation.

OSU leads its series with IU, 64-12-5, and a bruising Buckeye defense has yielded only seven touchdowns through seven games while the offense averages 33.6 points per contest.

Hoeppner welcomes the challenge.

“There aren’t many times in your athletic career where you get to play the No. 1 team,” he said. “The atmosphere will be special, playing in the Horseshoe. It’s one of the top stadiums in the country.”

And many of those Buckeyes are special, too. Among OSU players on “watch lists” for postseason recognition are senior quarterback Troy Smith, junior all-purpose specialist Ted Ginn Jr., senior center Doug Datish, sophomore linebacker James Laurinaitis, junior offensive tackle Kirk Barton, senior defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock, and junior running back Antonio Pittman.

Tressel insisted OSU won’t overlook the Hoosiers, 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference. He plans to heed Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz’s warning: “You better be ready to play against Indiana because they’re passionate, they’re prepared, and they’re well schooled.”

good read. but that Vegas line is inflated.

Buckeyes don't cover that 30.5 point spread. yeah, that thirty and one-half points.

I'd guess.

Indiana 17

I'm not worried, but I respect IU for sure. They looked great last week. Hopefully not so much this week, though...

Well this game isn`t starting out so great.

Buckeyes had a 3 and out, and the Hooisers returned the punt to the Bucks 15 yard line !

Buckeyes Defense held them to 0 yards though !

Hooisers had to settle for a FG.

Hooisers 3
Buckeyes 0

Troy has missed a couple of shortish passes to his right early, but other than that and a long punt return, OSU has looked ok early. Time to break this sucker open.

damn, and he just missed a 3rd pass to his right within 10 yards. strange...

Troy Smith is 0-4.

The Buckeys have 12 yards.

Scratch that... Smith just completed a 22 yard pass to Pittman ! :headbang:

Then runs for 26 more yards !
They`re on the Hoosiers 32 yard line !!!!

Make that the 25 !!!!

They`re driving now boys !!!! :headbang:
