Im going to put tints on...what percent should i put on? Im getting a spoiler put on. What else should i do?? What are some things that you do when you got a new car? Thanks in advance! I have a miata 02 with the complete factory spoiler pac....air dam,deck lid and side stuff....looks like a little Viper. I like the 6 also...nice daily car. The J Dub Posted June 2, 2007 Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 As far as tint goes and i speak from experience, dont go toooooooo drastic.. i had an '01 gold civic with 5 yes 5% tint... for one i had to roll em down at intersections lol and i got 320 bones i fines which isnt bad considering i could and did it myself so fines compared to install cost was bout even...go about 20-25% keeps it cool in side, looks good and isnt cop shopped... also i have found store bought tint grade is different from the cops meter... i bought my tint from meijer and it was graded as 15% which is legal in ohio for back windows...when pulled over for my front door windows it was registered anywhere from 2- 5%... ididnt pay attention to where youre from but if you live in sw ohio try solar shade in far west springboro on 73 or boutinotts "spelling maybe off" in fairfield on bypass 4...they do great work... also if you have the ability to do a spoiler install yourself which includes drilling on your decklid id try wingswest.com or even summit... thats a new car so options are limited, i drive an '05 nissan altima and i know my options are limited... good luck with your ride, if i hadnt bought my lease out the 6 was my next option but the altima is class and sport all in one, im looking to tint too and get bigger rims with color matching spokes... im not the god o wheels but ive been been around lol, im the car guy just holla if you need more info, good luck with the car...ps where did you get it at? Those are the darkest i can possibly get in Maryland....and since i have a black car with black interrior it looks darker than usual. Im having a stock spoiler put in early this coming week which should look great.....and then my next plan is to get all black rims or maybe go on a limb and get white .......anyone have ne ideas what type of rims i should get and what color? Rumble In the Jungle Posted June 7, 2007 Report Share Posted June 7, 2007 at maacos actually. a friend of mine owns the one in pleasant ridge and he hooked me up. i paid $500 for that man. to be technical, the color isn't grey, it's metalic titanium. it has a lot of shine to it that metalic but you can't see it in the picture. I have heard a lot of horror stories about maaco, but have also heard that there are a few who actually do a nice job.
