Jason
I'm a huge Skov fan. IMO he's long gone before they take a LB though. With LB, you have to keep in mind that all of these guys are back next year: Burfict Maualuga Harrison Rey Porter Lamur DiManche Schaeffer Taylor Mays will also likely be re-signed And then also keep in mind that typically they only have 2 LB's on the field. I think Skov would be a better SLB than any of them though. They may not go SLB in 2, but Skov in 2 would be a good pick IMO.
Bengals1181
oh I think Skov could come in and be the 2nd best LB on the team as a rookie. But for me in the draft is need vs value. With a 2nd round pick (and IMO skov will be gone by then), is the upgrade with skov at LB a greater value than say the value of a DE to replace MJ, or a return specialist to replace Tate? alleycat
Who knew that the fate of our draft next year would be largely influenced by the healing shoulders of Lamur and Mays. They are bad injuries for the positions they play, but IMO if they can come back healthy (and I don't know how you evaluate this because there won't be any contact for either of them before the draft and that's the only real measure on injuries like those that have a habit of recurring), LB and Safety can come off the board entirely. Which isn't to say you abandon your BPA philosphy. But Corner, Offensive Line, Defensive End, and even playmaking WR/KR would be worthy targets if we could take their positions out of consideration.
