After Scott left, we had guys with two years in the big leagues, in the clubhouse, on their phones, laying down in the video room, just hanging out during games, not in the dugout, not cheering their teammates on. Our dugout looked like a ghost town. After Bronson, the same exact thing. We had starters in there roping our (clubhouse attendants), like, cattle-roping our clubbies. Guys on their computers, buying stuff, hanging out in the clubhouse. We had a guy with a year-and-a-half in the big leagues wandering around the clubhouse, hanging out. We had a closer in there sleeping until the seventh inning. We lose that veteran leadership, that’s what happens. You can’t have that . . . it turns into a circus.

Well Mat, if you have an issue with it stand up and say something.
|Lucid| Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 My goodness.. I love baseball, but baseball players as a group are kind of a bunch of crybabies.

75North Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Ouch...that one has to sting a little. Smoked. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/07/mat-latos-driven-from-marlins-debut-in-first-inning/ Mat Latos driven from Marlins debut in the first inning Drew Silva Apr 7, 2015, 8:02 PM EDT 2 Comments Offseason acquisition Mat Latos is not off to a promising start in Miami. The 27-year-old righty got lit up for seven earned runs on six hits and two walks Tuesday evening in his Marlins debut against the Braves — a debut that lasted less than inning. He recorded only two outs, and one of those outs came on a sacrifice bunt by opposing pitcher Alex Wood. Here’s how that top-of-the-first played out at Marlins Park … Latos is currently sporting a 94.50 ERA. Many projected the Marlins to be a real contender this season in the National League and it’s silly to overreact to anything on April 7, but their starting rotation sure looks flimsy beyond Henderson Alvarez, who had a nice debut Monday. Jose Fernandez isn’t due to return from Tommy John surgery until June, and even the best pitchers tend to struggle in their first year back from that procedure.
