Dilfer isn't going to turn into an All Pro, but I doubt everyweek he has to throw the ball 43 times, and throw that many picks. Dilfer sucked in Baltimore so much that they fired him a week after they won the Super Bowl with him. What the hell makes you think he's even worth having on your team? The Browns best hope is that Dilfer gets injured and Frye gets to play. Wasting salary cap space on that loser was the NFL bonehead move of the offseason. Say of course that he had nothing to do with them winning the Super Bowl, and you have a point. However, check his numbers there. Solid, not spectaculare, but he got the job done. Dilfer came at the right price, and will be a great teacher for Frye, who gladly can step into the job next year. Why do we want ot throw Frye into the mix and screw him up before his career begins? We all know the Browns are not contenders this year, so why not let Frye learn the game from a solid vet like Dilfer. Also, when we signed Dilfer, that was kind of a plan B thing. All signs pointed to us keeping Holcoumb until he tried to dick us for more money, so by then there was not a lot in the free agent market. Who was out there? Dilfer, Krenzel, TESTAVERDE? Please tell me who was worth a shit? Nobody, so Savage picked up someone he knew previously, and brought him in. Lets not get started on "Bonehead" plays of the offseason. Both the Browns and Bengals are famous for draft busts, so this is not worth talking about. As for real busts, please check out Denver picking up most of our old defense and getting dickhammered by Miami by 27 points- now thats bonehead I still expect Dilfer to be solid, and I will bet he is not at the bottom of the QB rateings at the end of the season.
