Sure they're choosing to take the risk, but the employer shouldn't be adding to that. Like any other employer there's a responsibility to provide a reasonably safe workplace and a fairly strong argument that the NFL did just the opposite, to the point of denial.

I am embarrassed to admit that is true. The ratio of women to men is about 10:1. I have seen and hear many, many times of women fighting over single and married men. Arnold Palmer CC is a place you don’t want to be if you are a single or even a married guy. The women will come after you even with your wife with you! There are over 60,000 golf carts in TV. At night, there are numerous drunk drivers of both sexes driving their golf carts on both golf cart streets and regular streets, too, going to the public parties. I am embarrassed to say, there are really nightly parties, every day of the week, 365 days, including all holidays. Our 3 town squares, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing, and Brownwood offer free dance bands 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It is not uncommon for 65 year old guys with 30 year old women, too. Women from the central Florida area flock to TV. The outdoor restaurants/bars are almost an embarrassment to me. Yes, you are quite correct. IT IS WALT DISNEY WORLD ON STEROIDS FOR ADULTS!!!

The "he's changed" argument is pointless only if he hasn't changed. The arbitrator specified the hit as being "from the side or back" (and thus against the new rules), while the video clearly shows shoulder pads into the numbers...the FRONT numbers. This is nothing more than punishment for past transgressions...for which he has already been punished. Burfect's past behavior has certainly earned the close scrutiny of the league, but this punishment is a miscarriage of justice. Has he changed? I hope so, but I don't yet know. What I do know is that hit for which he is being punished is NOT proof that he has not changed.
