  1. sent this to my kid and told him this is why he cant dunk (he can now, but still, the joke stands)
  2. agreed, could they do a double vote? vote for 20 guys (or however many) then narrow it down to 4-5 like a mini PFHOF vote set of finalists, then vote on those.. the top ones wouldnt likely get the main votes again, as the people voting for the other 15-16 guys who didnt make the finalists likely would swing the finalists vote various ways.. could be a good offseason activity during the dead times.. maybe do some on site voting, throw a bengals block party between PBS and GABP, have some guys on the list sign autographs, vote via ipads and SMS on site, get some artsists to come do art on site, a DJ or band for music, local food places, this is almost too easy... bengals, call me, you have my number.
  3. got some goodies on the way, got a game used Chris Olave ball from his rookie season(not bengals related but ohio state) got a black wilson, orange Iosivas, and orange money mac game jerseys on the way as well. pros and cons of my wife working from home: Pro: she can sign for all my packages and i dont have to go pick them up. Con: she sees all of my packages. "you got another package, how much did that cost" lots of negative energy from her, ya know? ☚ī¸
  4. yeah lots of teams dont even roster a FB anymore.. wasnt there a recent year where 2 teams had a FB on the team at all? absolutely, he is the Stewert of the Safeties, all the unique physical attributes and the numbers to back them up. 100%, especially if you have multiple guys in those two groups who can sort of do it all versatility wise, will we see a front of Trey - Hill - Stewert - Ossai on random plays? then blitz Carter and drop Ossai? if you have the guys, the options are endless. the transition on defense seems clearly to be Versatility over clever overthinking. we dont have the guys to handle overthinking, we can have the guys to be incredibly versatile. a legendary series of events, that i will never forget.... i sometimes crack the joke to my kid, who has no idea what im talking about.... such a salcker... he was -1 years old when NewBengals offered is help to professional football players.....via a message board..... at first i thought you were knocking the new OL coach for a second, tho. beat me to it by a long shot its wild the gushing everyone does over al, i cant tell if they all hated lou or truly like Al, but its not just the professional courtesy fluff you typically hear, they love that guy..
  5. this has been a really interesting draft the more i look at it.. the bengals did a little of everything with their picks, at least from what coaches have said since the draft the type of players picked etc.. They took the intangibles disruptive DE in Stewert who didnt get the sacks himself but disrupted offenses, the took the Covid benefit long college career LB, who is expected to step in and be a veteran level guy on the field, he doesnt come in needing to ass muscle ro mature to adapt as a 20 year old to the NFL, he is 25 and seems they expect him to be 2021 Pratt from day one role wise. You get the less talked about Guard from Georgia, but the one who is a pass pro "specialist" strong, wrestling background, so a guy they expect to be the clear LG starter and improve pass pro day 1, what he can develop is rush blocking, an ideal candidate, much better, IMO, and theirs, than the guy who needs to improve pass and run blocking, got the guy who in theory, is good at one now, day 1, then get the versatile guy Al Golden has been talking about, can rush, run defense, pass defense, play edge to edge, major conference and played all 4 years, coupling two new players in th LB room with one of the best Veteran LB at all of those things in Wilson. throw in a versatile Lineman and a versatile RB. it was a draft with few home run swings but one that seemed to clearly upgrade some of the worse positions on the team specifically in the ways they were bad. Everyone sees Stewert as a home run swing, im not sure thats how they see it, they may, but it looks more like "this guys speed, strength and ability can be used a million ways and he was a disrupter in college on every down" and thats the kind of tool Golden keeps talking about. I dont think the 3 guys we added to the defense would make much difference under Lou, but i think all 3 of those guys change the entire face of the defense, what its capable of, from what Al Golden and the position coaches have been talking about for the last few months. The picks didnt improve on what we had, they changed what we can do, i think. Am i off in my read of what the purpose of these picks are? I dont see any LB who is just good vs the run or just a coverage guy, i now see 3 guys who can contain and run with a lot of guys, same with Ossai and Stwewrt, we already had Trey in coverage occasionally when we mixed things up, like, does this look like a group of guys that no longer have run sets and pass sets of guys, with the exception of maybe DT?
  6. a prime example of a media member who spins what an agent feeds him. all of the data is correct. no doubt, Trey is great, no doubt, but aside from the things ive pointed out 10-15 times about him being powerless and fucked, Sack leaders dont win championships. the eagles didnt have a sack getter in the top 16... (they did have two in the top 20, however) Even taking the individual side of it out of the equation, sacks per game, the Eagles and Giants were less than .1 sacks apart, next to each other in the standings, and lets talk about situational factors, we are all quick to throw shade at QB yards and stats on a bad team thats always losing, hell, like Joe last year, HAD TO PASS constantly to catch up. There are a bunch of losing teams on this list in the top half of the league in sacks per game, who were playing teams thats didnt have to be passing against them. The same stats are nearly identical for sack percentage, Eagles barely in the top 10 range, bunch of bad teams in the top 10, etc. on third down unless they are in fringe FG position, an incompletion, deflection, run stuff, etc are the same result as a sack, we dont need 17.5 sacks (i will take them for DAMN sure, again im not saying we dont want that or its bad) just that we need the DL to be healthy, on the field and progress from last year, we need the young corners, on the field, playing, progressing, we need the safeties, playing and reacting quickly, we need the LB's, healthy, quick and versatile, we need guys on defense playing free, fast, and smart. We need to not have key rotation players hurt for over 70 games this season. All of these things seem reasonable and honestly should be expected, why wouldn't all of these things happen? Safety is maybe the only one you can question, at minimum we wont have playing time, reps and doghouse problems we had last year at Safety. and lastly, its a really really really shaky stance, to pretend you arent going to play, when when you got told if you missed future workouts there would be fines, you sped down and threw tantrums in front of the media and then apologized for said tantrums(or said you regretted them or whatever the wording was).. ... but youre going to hold out and miss a million dollars plus PER WEEK of games you sit out? lmao absolutely no chance. and also, DE is the least important position for scheme, system, role, etc.. he is a vet and will know all of that sitting out or not.. so he cant throw his tantrum like chase did until the morning of week 1's game, and it wont have any effect. (unlike chase) in my "dug in" opinion.
  7. Awesome! You have lots of options. Downtown or nearby you have STK, Shanahans(yes that one), 801 Chophouse, Elways (I hate him). Bunch of the usual chain spots, Ruths Chris, Capital Grill, etc etc.. The wildcard, the Buckhorn Exchange. STK - known for being the best in Denver, but i have been there twice, and my steak has been cooked incorrectly both times, and the check was $350 for 3 people each time, I was getting Wagyu, infuriating, but i cannot say how many times im told its the best in Denver, i know the Nuggets team eats here after games often, so I think i just got unlucky. Shanahans - middle of the road or upper middle calss if you will, food should be solid, nothing life changing but good, Elways - see shanahans, 801 Chophouse - this would be my recommendation, I wish i was eating there right now.. They have a menu for every wallet, want $100 Lobster bites for an appetizer? they got you! want amazing $22 meatball apps? they got you! A filwet will run $60-90 if i recall, they have some dry aged stuff i have never tried.. The A5 Wagyu is only $35/oz and is great, minimum is 5 oz i think. sides are great, potatos, mac, greens, all good. Now buckhorn Exchange, if youre in for something weird, go there, Want friend rattlesnake? they got you, want rocky mountain oysters? (bull testicles) they got you... genuine good steak and stuff.. but its been on many tv shows for its wld menu. Its colorado, jorts, cowboys boots, skinny jeans, yoga pants, youll see a dude wearing each of those for sure.. Mushrooms and DMT decriminalized, so feel free to get wild with that shit, I work with some in those fields if anyone needs a safe reliable quality resource, all legal.
  8. More merit than most front office personnel. honestly what better resume does one get aside from being college athletes, raised in an nfl franchise started by a guy who created pro football in the state, with law degrees and incredible educations who worked their way up the organization over decades.. that is probably the best merit one could dream of. no?
  9. odd, no issues on mobile safari and i dont recall my password off hand so i cant check on my macbook

  13. that banner is an old one from before the superbowl, but it fit back into the design nicely.. took forever to find that text color setting, i agree its much easier to read now!
  14. lower level are $375-900, and cheaper as you move up... being MNF and the broncos expecting themselves to be good, prices will only go up if both teams start out hot, especially if both are undefeated.. and id be surprised if tey dropped much below where they are now...

  18. Let me know if anyone is headed this way for the MNF Game in Denver, my companys owner owns a bar with incredible food in Denver, it would be cool to get a dinner together watch the sundays games or lunch before MNF anything really. Let me know if anyone is headed this way.
  19. i probably didnt give people enough time to read this and act on it.. so my email and the facebook group aree there for those i locked out with my haste.
  20. everytime i see that place i think of this pic. i remember going there for reds games, never saw the bengals there, i remmeber the baseball bouncing high AF cause it was basically playing on pavement.
  21. none of this is true. what exactly about Taylor preparation cause Joes calf injury, in wich joe could move, had to run ALL shotgun, and couldnt even drop back? which part of preparation is that? Which preparation should he have taken with Chase holding out? should he have gone heavy gameplan for Tee higgins, assume Chase wouldnt play and if he did it would be a bonus with Higgins being the focus? yeah he did that, then after..AFTER walk throughs before the game Tee is injured and Chase decides to play the morning of the game (a fact), what preparation should have been done for that? What preparation did Taylor fail at to have 40% of the DT rotation out for weeks 1-2 on top of the Chase and Tee situation? what Zach prep make Hudson fumble at the goalline in week one vs pats? What zach taylor preparation stops the PI call on the road against the SB champs to give them a first down to beat us in KC? which zach taylor preparation stops the commanders from scoring a million points? the offensive HC, zach taylor..? which zach taylor preparation prevents the long snapper from getting hurt making us miss the XP and FG in overtime vs pittsburgh to miss the game winning XP and and the game winning FG in overtime? zach taylors preparation doesnt have shit to do with shit.. especially not the record early in the season.. football has circumstances.. and shit happens.. thats how sports go. nothing to do with zach, and there is zero evidence it has anything to do with zach.
  22. gotta find it.. i found images and color picker for background and NOTHING is set to the brown.. so thats an oddity.. the default theme has no browns.. so strange.. its all new and different so itll take some time.. only 2 third party theme designs even exist for this new board version.. board is snappy AF at home.. but i have 2gb connection here.
  23. is the board slow as fuck or is it my work internet?
  24. interesting... nothing harder to fix than something i cannot see.. ill check from home here shortly and see what i can find..at work currently waiting on a customer to processor their order so i can check it before i go.
