  1. Hell no. I'm not giving up a first round pick and a proven first round-quality WR just to move up 11 spots. Their 2nd round pick at #38 for Higgins straight up, maybe. I suppose the fact they'd have to negotiate a fresh contract with his somewhat delusional agent is worth consideration. That aside, the Bengals tagged him for a reason. I don't see the logic in giving up draft picks along with him when they could've just let him walk.
  2. When conspiracy nutters start talking about lizard aliens wearing human skins this is the sort of video they point to...
  3. Still not getting how we went from trading Higgins for a high draft pick to giving up our own draft picks along with him.
  4. 😆 Incompetent? Yes. Dumb? Kinda. But they're not stupid! OK then...
  5. They just need him to be a placeholder for an early draft pick, or plan B if they whiff on that pick yet again. If they intend to skip the OL again in the draft and point to this guy, that's a different story... But it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?
  6. Well.. yeah? How does getting caught screwing the Bengals prove they aren't trying to screw the Bengals in your reckoning?
  7. Apple, Nike, etc use Chinese political prison labor to prop up their entire supply chain = no problemo!! Chance to set precedent of banning open-sourced media sites = China bad!!
  8. Other than me being in the Cardinals TV market, thanks Cardinals
  9. Yes just take care of the 2 biggest glaring holes that are also by far the most difficult to fill and they'll be golden. Or write off another season to growing pains when rookies predictably play like rookies. Kind of silly arguing about the quality of the free agent market when they don't currently have a starter at RT or NT. I'm cool with them taking their time but they're going to have to bring in a couple of vets.
  10. As much as those guys move around to disguise coverage I'd bet there's a lot of overlap in responsibility. Just needs snaps like any young DB, IDK if it matters so much where he's lined up beyond taking advantage of his strengths.
  11. Woah that's crazy, we should try that. It may not be as effective as writing about how much borderline practice squad quality guy has improved over the off-season but it's worth a shot.
  12. I would've thought there was no way they'd ignore the OL entirely in last year's draft, knowing how many guys were getting up there in age & in the last year or two under contract. I would've thought there was no way they'd replace Jonah at LT, have him ask for a trade, then make him play RT where he's completely outmatched and the flaws in his game would be an even bigger liability. So, you know, at this point keeping him at RT for the next 5 years seems entirely within the realm of possibility.
  13. Right, give them two 1st round picks and Higgins so we can replace... Higgins. I think maybe I should stay out of this thread
  14. Prove what though, that the last 4 years were a fluke? My concern is they bring him back and then act like everything's fine while Joe continues to take a beating.
  15. They're going to bring back Jonah aren't they The ol' "we tried nothing and we're out of ideas"
  16. Yeah well, sucks for him. I'm not giving up the farm because one cow's being cranky.
  17. The one position group we've yet to hear so much as a whisper about...
  18. So give up a WR1, a capable QB2, and a high draft pick in return for.. a WR1? No thank you.
  19. At least it borderline crippled them.. & then they had to ride with Flacco. IDK if that's justice exactly but it's something.
  20. Yeah I get that, I'm not with the "oh well fuck that guy" stuff either. I assumed he was gone when they drafted Chase & while it's been nice having two players that'd be WR1 on most teams, it's a luxury I don't think we can afford. A healthy DJ Reader under contract, a solid OL with the majority of them on rookie deals, yeah maybe it makes sense. Where they're sitting though, I see an extra early draft pick or 2 plus $25M off the books as more value for this team, To put that a different way, I think Higgins is worth more to other teams than he is to the Bengals. If that's the case it makes sense to capitalize on it while they can.
  21. A lot easier to find an extra WR than an OT or NT.
  22. I mean, I was already on Team TradeHim before he said anything so Nothing against Tee just too many roster holes to worry much about a WR2.
  23. Well that was ill-advised. They're not going to win a "Who can be the most stubborn & petty?" contest against Ol' Musty.
