  1. Sounds like the writer didn't watch anything Bengals related in 2023. The Turner/Battle comments should be flippy flopped.
  2. And if you look at sack rate as % of passing attempts the Bengals ranked 17th. Likely skewed a bit by playing the AFCN pass rushes 6 times a year as opposed to other divisions. That sack rate good for 3rd best in the division: Stealers 7.1% Browns 7.2% Bengals 8.1% Ravens 8.3% Great? No. Worst? Also no.
  3. Think the Lions have a similar fear with only $9M guaranteed and the words "up to" probably means it's a pretty incentive laden two year deal.
  4. For sure. Wrecks an entire interior OL on his own + awesome dude to boot. Worth up to $27.5M. Wonder if the Bengals were close. Had they been they would have had to have one of the most expensive DT rooms in the league with Hill, Rankins & Reader. EDIT: $9M guaranteed. I'm guessing they don't let Tart leave without a deal today now.
  5. Sounds like Vonn is on the verge of a return...
  6. Disagree. They've been in on Reader since the beginning who's been a priority for them since the jump. They know his market well and don't think they make the move for Rankins without having a good feeling they can still retain Reader as well.
  7. Reminds me of when Fisher went from guard to tackle to H-back to TE or whatever. He might not have been good to begin with but he never had a chance.
  8. Sounds like a guy ZT & JB would never let in the locker room...
  9. Mahomes just restructured his deal to save the Chiefs ~$22M in cap space this year to (likely) keep Sneed after the Jones extension. Burrow did say he wanted to follow the Chiefs & Mahomes blueprint, no...?
  10. Believe he's mocking Tiki Barber who said this about Barkley after "signing" with the Eagles.
  11. His interest was a tweet of beating the Chiefs. Nothing specific about the Bengals.
  12. Seen it reported that Tee's camp (agent) did shut it off and basically laid out the demands to not return to the table until they were met. Regardless the trade request is a last ditch effort by his agent to exercise any leverage (which is none) to try and force their hand. Let's also remember that the reporting breaking news experts like Schefter are basically just mouth pieces for these agents. Maybe if Tee wanted to be here he could reach out to his agent to find some middle ground? I think both sides have a hand in this, but if you take a look at Pittman's recently signed contract today I can't imagine the Bengals were that far off from that offer. Seems the Tee camp wants more than market value.
  13. Well, that was pretty much self inflicted since it was Tee's camp (agent) that said they wouldn't negotiate in-season and now wanting to cash in on guarantees after a pretty injury riddled season. I'm not blaming Tee but this has been a two way street all along.
  14. Not to worry. The first three words means it won't happen.
  15. To be fair on Fant, he played in a crap offense in Denver and then a mediocre one that had DK, Lockett and eventually JSN on the outside in Seattle. You're not looking to replace many targets here and I think he's excellent with the ball in his hands after the catch. Much better than what the Bengals currently have and have had since Burrow has been here.
  16. Hayden Hurst being released as well, although his last concussion will probably scare teams away.
