  1. Joe has two yrs left on his deal (one + the option) so that'll give the Bengals some room to taylor a good deal. They all know that the trick is to do it in a way that doesn't gut the rest of the team. This is something Tom Brady understood but Aaron Rodgers didn't
  2. https://nesn.com/2023/04/espn-reporter-shuts-down-patriots-lamar-jackson-trade-rumors/
  3. It's going to be tough for them to cut him after 2025. He's already got a cap hit of $73mill if he's cut after the 2025 season and that's assuming they don't do another restructure. The Browns just don't know how to play this cap game
  4. RG3 I guess forgot to mention that Joe Burrow played behind a much worse OL than Mahomes or L. Jackson
  5. Players never give up guaranteed money, nor should they. I'm not seeing how he could be with another team 'cause I don't see the Bengals paying any of his salary. If some team does want him and his salary, the Bengals will say thank you very much
  6. Jonah's not going to give up money he's already guaranteed so the only way he'd agree to re-do the contract is if they add years and more money. Another team would really have to fall in love with him to do that. I don't see that happening
  7. Yes indeed. That's why it'll be tough to trade him. Who'll pay $12 mill for him to play on their O line?
  8. I don't see any team giving him that much guaranteed money. The Watson contract was a dumb contract. The Ravens aren't dumb.
  9. Joe has a real nice place just east of downtown. Chase lives in the same neighborhood
  10. Not really going out on a limb here: The Saints will be really bad next year
  11. I think we need to upgrade the RB position and we don't necessarily have to invest a high draft pick. This is a position where you can come upon "finds" late in the draft or even in free agency
  12. Yep, if he does it now, he'll take less money for the next 2 yrs 'cause the Bengals would be buying out those "cheap" years on his existing contract, so the per yr money won't look as impressive but it's still a good deal for both sides. It also gives the team lots of ways to deal with it salary cap wise
  13. We should be getting some nice FA compensation back if we lose some of these starters. We need to spend those picks wisely
  14. Regardless of who's in power, we need to keep the filibuster. Without it we'll have yo yo'ing of laws everything power changes. Congress needs mechanisms like that to encourage bipartisanship because as well agree, neither side is interested in it now
  15. Neither party is interested in being bipartisan. The difference is the Dems want to end the filibuster and the GOP does not
  16. Republicans never threatened to increase the number of justices, ie stacking. So Don't know what you're referring to. Trump got his Justices in based on current law
  17. That makes no sense. The filibuster has to do with 60 votes. Unless the filibuster was abolished, they needed 60 votes to pass anything, hence they needed Dem votes
  18. Fact: When Republicans held a nice majority in the Senate when Trump was President they could have easily ended the filibuster but they didn't. That sets them apart from Democrats who want to do exactly that, save for Sinema and Manchin
  19. Our current Supreme Court is the result of laws that have been in place for 100 yrs. That's not stacking. If you'd prefer the word "packing", fine. Perhaps that's a better word https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/pack-supreme-court/story?id=73521286
  20. Fact: Tim Ryan has a 100% voting record for Joe Biden. If you want a rubber stamp for Biden, vote for Ryan Looking at the bigger picture, any vote for Democrats in the Senate is a vote for the end of bi-partisanship and a stacked Supreme Court. Dems have made it clear that their goal is to end the filibuster in the Senate and if they do that they can pass a stacked Supreme Court law. Do we really want all of that? Once the filibuster is gone, it ain't comin' back. It'll lead to retaliation when Republicans take control. Do we really want that? I say no
  21. There's not room on a 53 man roster for a guy like this. He was barely an NFL talent to begin with...now that he lost a week of time due to his quitting...he's done. He'll be lucky if he survives this weekend's cuts.
