  1. I certainly hope not! šŸ˜”
  2. Oh, dear, where do I begin? Letā€™s start with ignoring a subpoena in the investigation into the events surrounding what happened on January 6th, but then becoming the chair of the House Judiciary Committee and expecting his subpoenas to be obeyed. He was one of the strongest supporters of the whole ā€œElection was stolen.ā€ narrative and didnā€™t hesitate to voice it time and again. The Center for Effective Lawmaking has ranked him one of the least effective lawmakers in Congress. In their most recent study, he was ranked 202 out of 205 among Republicans.Jordan is more concerned with getting sound bites on Fox News than serving his constituents. John Boehner, a fellow Republican, labeled him a ā€œlegislative terroristā€ as far back as 2013. Jim Jordan is not the person who can work in a bipartisan manner, and that is what Congress needs right now. And if that isnā€™t enough, he didnā€™t speak up about the sexual abuse that was going on in the wrestling program at OSU while he was a coach there. At least half a dozen wrestlers have said that they told Jordan about it and he did nothing to stop it. He denies knowing anything about it, just likes he denies knowing anything about the Jan. 6th riots. A large part of the reason he gets re-elected is because he was a high school wrestling champion in his district and heā€™s still living off of that glory. I think if his constituents would take the time to explore his record, they would feel differently. Or, maybe not. Heā€™s in a really red district.
  3. I think it was short sighted of the Democrats to not save Kevin McCarthy, because whoever the Republicans were going to nominate was going to be worse than McCarthy. I'm not a big fan of McCarthy, but putting the country above partisan interests should not have been rewarded by being booted from the Speaker of the House position. It's a shame that more politicians can't do that. So now, we have a Congress that can't do anything and a party in the majority that is at civil war with itself to get a new Speaker elected, at a time when we really need a functioning Congress. And God help us if Jim Jordan becomes the Speaker!
  4. Watson didnā€™t practice again today. It sounds like PJ Walker will be starting on Sunday.
  5. Saw this on another site. Tee Higginsā€™ mom. Thank God sheā€™s all right!
  6. And yet another heart warming story about TI: https://www.wlwt.com/article/bengals-trenton-irwin-nku-student-drivers-license/45523763
  7. He deserves more accolades, but I'm OK with him sneaking up on people and flying under the radar. We know how good he is.
  8. I was reading somewhere online that he stays out on the field and helps the grounds keeping crew until staff has to come and get him to go in the locker room. His explanation was that he realizes that he could be injured at any time and have it all taken away so he's going to enjoy it and soak it all in while he can. I guess acting can wait.
  9. Thanks for posting. TI is the type of player that Bill Belicheck would pick or pluck off of someone's practice squad.
  10. Late in the game, he missed a block on the left side that I believe led to a sack.
  11. I've never been to Disneyland or Disney World, nor do I subscribe to any of their streaming services. Liberal viewpoint or not, it just doesn't seem prudent to piss off one of your biggest employers and drivers of tourism to your state. That would be like Mike DeWine pissing off Honda or Limited Brands. That's all I'm saying.
  12. First of all, don't presume to know whether Ohio has been good to me or not. Second of all, I'm allowed to denounce it if I like. It's called free speech. As for being one of the "best states in America", sure, it is if you're not a woman who wants control over her body instead of the government telling her what she can and can't do. It is if you don't mind being governed by a governor who promised to "do something" after the mass shooting in Dayton and his idea of "doing something" was to loosen gun laws. It is if you don't care that the way the state funds our schools was declared unconstitutional 26 years ago and the legislature's way of fixing it is to expand school vouchers to just about anyone. That's mine and your tax dollars effectively going to fund private schools, including religious schools. All expanding the school voucher program did was allow parents who were paying for their kids' education and could do so to reduce their burden. My school district currently has a tax levy on the ballot that if it passes, will increase my property taxes by $800.00/year. That is going to price a lot of senior citizens out of their homes. It is if you're a college student or professor who doesn't want to discuss anything deemed "controversial" in a classroom. Who decides what is "controversial" and what is not? Again, the legislature wants to decide that.
  13. I only got on it in the first place so I could follow my sonā€™s band. Now that they broke up (they broke up before the pandemic hit), I really have no reason or motivation to go on there.
  14. RFK Jr. is talking about running as an independent. DeSantis is slipping in the most recent polls. His problem is that heā€™s too focused on ā€œwokeā€ issues and not enough on the issues that matter, plus I question the wisdom of the battle heā€™s waging with Disney. ā€œSure, letā€™s piss off one of our biggest employers (if not our biggest employer) and one of our biggest drivers of tourism in the state because they donā€™t agree with me on gay rights. Great idea!ā€ Yeah, thatā€™s smart. šŸ™„
  15. Graeter's was always a treat when we would go visit my great aunt and uncle. There was one right by their house and my mother was an ice cream junkie.
  16. "They want to give Trump the authority to fire over 50,000 government workers if he so chooses...as if Trump doesn't LOVE firing people, he is literally famous for firing people." 50,000?? Child's play in comparison to what Vivek Ramaswamy wants to do if he is elected president. https://apnews.com/article/ramaswamy-2024-gop-slash-federal-workforce-layoffs-fbi-180ef9599a688ef68d6e51446baef4a7 Multiple sources have cited this and I heard it from his own mouth during the last debate. This kid is a punk who, by his own admission, likes to play devil's advocate. . For crying out loud, I have T-shirts and sweaters older than him that I still fit into and wear. He wants to be a younger Trump and is well on his way as his company is currently has 2 lawsuits against them, one for...wait for it... sexual discrimination and harassment.
  17. KC gets bailed out by the refs again. No PI in the end zone and then no penalty for the player taking his helmet off on the field. The referee even tells the player to put his helmet back on.
