*** THE OFFICIAL BENGALS VS. AINTS GAMEDAY THREAD ***

Recommended Posts

As i sit at home, for the second time this year, unable to travel away i'm somewhat pleased to not have to gear up and travel all over the country. The last game I missed was KC, and the last game I made the gameday thread for was Pittsburgh, hell thats half of our wins right there. Win or lose its good to be home.

Lets kick the saints ass, Bush had 180 yards rushing on me in madden, that cocksucker. ITS ON!!!!

JOJO gets the start, Peko is starting my halftime...

GO BENGALS!

1) i dont think the saints are all that impressive... and even if we lose it will probably be due to us sucking more than them impressing anyone.

2) barring any changes i wont be able to watch the game, where can i listen/watch it online? does 700 wlw go offline for the game?
INJURIES
CIN: C Rich Braham (knee) , WR Kelley Washington (hamstring), RG Bobbie Williams (appendix) are out. LT Levi Jones (knee) is questionable and probably won’t play since he just began individual work Wednesday. MLB Brian Simmons (neck) looks like he’s going to miss his third straight game since he’s been doubtful all week and hasn’t practiced. It doesn’t look good for SS Dexter Jackson (Achilles) and CB Deltha O’Neal (shoulder). They’re questionable, but didn’t practice Wednesday and Thursday.
NO: The Saints appear to have no significant injuries.

THE SERIES
Tied 5-5, 2-2 in New Orleans.

NOTEWORTHY
The Bengals end their longest road drought with their first game in New Orleans in 13 seasons. Now Green Bay is the least-visited city with the last game at Lambeau in 1995 … The visit comes at an emotional time for Louisiana natives Tory James, Chris Henry and Andrew Whitworth in the fifth game in the Superdome since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina … What will give first? Saints quarterback Drew Brees hasn’t thrown an interception in 93 straight passes, and the Bengals defense doesn’t have an interception in 94 straight … It’s not only a matchup of Brees vs. Carson Palmer a week after their 398-yard and 440-yard passing days, respectively. The game also pits two USC Heisman Trophy winners, Palmer and Saints running back Reggie Bush … The Bengals were the Saints’ first foe in the Superdome on Sept. 28, 1975, a 28-0 New Orleans victory ... How old is the Dome? The only Bengals alive that day were Rich Braham, Sam Adams, Bryan Robinson, Brian Simmons and Willie Anderson … Bengals are 4-2 in November road games under Lewis.

NFL RANKINGS
CIN: Seventh in scoring, 12th in offense (23rd rushing, eighth passing), 28th in defense (23rd rushing, 28th passing), tied for 12th in turnover differential; NO: Sixth in scoring, third in offense (26th rushing, first passing), 15th in defense (22nd rushing, seventh passing); 29th in turnover differential.

COACHES
CIN: Marvin Lewis 31-26 (0-1 postseason) in his fourth season; NO: Sean Payton 6-3 in his first season.
Yeah, see, I don't make plans on Sunday during the football season and my entire family knows this. If anyone invites me to anything on a Sunday it better either be before the game, and finishing in time for me to catch the game, or after. Of course I'm in Japan now and can't play that but if I ever return they know not to fuck with me on football Sunday. Anything other than a funeral gets turned down upon invite.

My family knows all that too. I think they either just like pissing me off, or they schedule these things hoping I won't come.
