The company teased a new installment in the hard-hitting sports franchise at an event in Japan today, but they only showed a logo and promised the game would be arriving on a surprising platform that we didn't expect -- maybe a handheld? Nothing else about the "new" Tecmo Bowl was announced at the event, but if you'll recall, Tecmo's promised a new Tecmo Bowl game in the past and never delivered -- they announced something similar years ago for the last set of platforms, but the game never materialized. While Madden has many detractors since EA's exclusivity deal with the NFL, it still is the best football game and will continue to be so. Beat me to it. for years, EA used the game engine from the prior year's Pro game for the college games (football and basketball). the only thing different between the two games is the career/owner/superstar mode on Madden vs. dynasty/campus legend mode on NCAA. I never bought Madden, only NCAA for PS2, and I always had the new version the day it came out. The only reason I play Madden now is b/c they dont make NCAA for the PC I also preferred the NCAA game modes to the Madden ones overall, at least until this year. The first-person nfl superstar hall of fame mode on Madden is pretty sweet. I've played both QB and MLB in this format, and the game is much more interesting/realistic when you can only do YOUR job. Perhaps if you went with the argument that UT and AA have different graphic styles that one person may prefer over another, you might have better success. Amen said the graphics aren't better because they use the same engine. You spoke about game style differences between UT and AA.
