The biggest, and in my opinion only reason we arent a .500 team or better is our bullpen. Trading Dunn isnt gonna make our bullpen good.
it will improve the clutchness and decrease the K's in our lineup.

the guy replacing him will hit for a higher average and increase our abilities defensively.
Thats not the point a-men. The point is our offense and defense isnt killing us, its our RP, and trading dunn wont help that dramastically.
how will it not? the whole point is to trade him for RP. so we improve our RP, Defense, increase avg, and decrease k's. and this teams increased K's and lack of hitting with RISP has cost us MANY games as well.

The RP we get for Dunn isnt gonna turn around our entire bullpen. Im not saying dont do it, Im all for it. But dont expect the team to all the sudden be a contender unless the RP we get is sweet, and Eddie G comes back and pitches like he did last year.

This team obviously needs a shakeup.Any small step to a time has got to be an improvement for this team.We are worst or second worst record in the majors.Trading Dunn for a quality RP(preferably a young healthy one) would certainly be a step in the right direction .
I can't believe how shallow out OF has become...especially considering a guy like Griffey who has consistent injuries.
Why the fuck did we trade Kearns again?
kearns sucked ass.... thats probably why...
I like kearns but he is worthless. Hamilton is going to be 10 times better then him when its all said and done.
hamilton is pretty good, and probably arleady better than kearns

yes... dunn sucks, and our RPitching sucks...

tho it may be tough to trade something that sucks, for something that doesnt...

This thread is funny every year. But sure, trade the guy who's 7th in the NL in Slugging %, 9th in Runs scored, 9th in Total Bases, 2nd in HR's, 9th in RBI's (weird that he can be so high yet everyone states its something he doesn't do...what, the only RBI's that count are of the two out variety?), and 8th in Extra Base hits, and is the current NL Player of the Week.

Not to mention leading or being 2nd on our team in almost every offensive category...and batting 40 points higher than he did last year. He's also only 27 and just now entering the prime of his career.

And yes...he strikes out a lot. So sure, lets trade him....trading for relief pitching certainly worked out phenominally last season. Obviously there's no chance in hell that trading for some relief help, like say, a Bill Bray or Gary Majewski, would ever fail...
