eva4ben-gal Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 "one name sticks out like a topless Andre Smith in the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese" As far as Larry goes I'd pass. I think Scott has everything we need in a second back and Leonard has the ability to be that chain mover if Benson goes down. Benson and LJ both have huge egos and the only reason LJ came here in the first place was to try to latch on to a winning team and keep his name in people's mouths. He's going to want to start next season and he's going to want starter money.

He looked tentative hitting the hole..he didn't really have breakaway speed, and he was just slightly better than he was with KC. I think it was great we took a flyer, and he was pretty damn good against Cleveland, but we could probably upgrade in the draft with a big bowling ball kind of guy like Shonn Greene for short yardage situations. Someone like LeGarrete Blount (sp?) or Staffon Johnson, if we don't think Brian Leonard will turn into a short-yardage guy. I wouldn't be pissed about C.J. Spiller or Jahvid Best either if they were in the right spots.
As much as I like our current backs I would jizz in my pants if we got Blount. He is going to be a star.
^^ yes. i'd just as soon give bscott the 10 carries + 5 swing passes a game that are needed to keep benson not worn out.
from the games i saw live comparing the two. lj hit the holes faster than benson, but benson hit the holes harder. the last thing LJ looked was tentative or slow.
disagree. Benson hit holes much faster than LJ. I was very disappointed with LJ's speed.
