Former #Wildcats linebacker Marquis Flowers meets with #Bengals http://sbn.to/1gX2khf

Great numbers for a lb:

Dates: 03/06/14
Height: 6025
Weight: 231
40 Yrd Dash: 4.51
20 Yrd Dash: 2.58
10 Yrd Dash: 1.58 225 Lb. Bench Reps: 24
Vertical Jump: 37 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'08"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.32
3-Cone Drill: 7.06

Sounds like another Lamur type:

08/12/13 - TOP ARIZONA PROSPECTS FOR THE 2014 NFL DRAFT: 2. OLB Marquis Flowers (6-2, 230, 4.52)...Flowers started nine and played in 11 games at safety for the Wildcats in 2011 but moved down to strongside linebacker as a junior and emerged as Arizona's most dangerous defender. He registered 100 tackles last year, including a team-high 13 for loss. Flowers also bloomed when it came to turnovers, leading the Wildcats with seven (three interceptions, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery), including a dominant performance against Southern Cal (seven tackles, three turnovers) that earned him Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors in a 39-35 victory.

SMU QB who was formerly at Texas.  AKA the guy who replaced Colt McCoy when he nearly got decapitated in the title game against Alabama.

Garrett Gilbert has visited #Bengals, #Bucs, #Cowboys and worked out for #Falcons, #Panthers, #Rams, among others. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2014/05/02/garrett-gilbert-texas-smu-gale/8608447/

Looks like Alley and 1181 are working a little overtime today to get us prepped for draft day(s).   As always, appreciate the info.!

Ha. I'm not doing much, and certainly not nearly as much as in a typical year, which is one of the reason I've stayed out of most of the discussions.  I'm just not as well-versed as I have been (in a typical year I'd say I'm very familiar with 95% of the guys who get drafted, but this year I'm not even half that knowledgeable about the guys who will go in the first round.

I guess the new dad thing does that to you. One, you have a lot less time; two, wasted time, in particular, starts to feel silly; and three, football just got less interesting.

Still, like last year, when I fell in love with Cordarelle Patterson, I don't need to see other players to know that Aaron Donald is the guy I want in the first if he's there.

I had the same thought although Lamur has a few inches on him. Size and speed wise, he's probably more like Dimanche.

He wasn't good at Texas, but he was very good at SMU. Really developed his game there.

Would be a nice pick later in the draft. Has a live arm and good size.
