Bowl Season Game 4 12/26

BG v Pitt

I am a BG football fan. The 3 guys I would take long looks at are Boo-Boo, Chief and Bayer. Bayer is a very good pass catching TE, won't stretch the seem but has a Heath Miller type feel. Chief is a Juco transfer at C who is a real leader on the line. Don't think he is a real upgrade here but I wouldn't be surprised if he was a starter in the league at some point (or never makes a team). Boo-Boo is who I am most interested in, former LB who also returns kicks for BG. Would fit very well in the Nickel LB role Taylor Mays was playing.

Aaron Donald of Pitt intrigues me. He is undersized but has some really long arms. Uses his hands extremely well.

We don't really need another DT, but he could be a good one. He also might be fast enough to play some DE like Wallace Gilberry.

Probably won't be a Bengal but I love him as a player. Like Geno, he will be drafted lower than he should be due to lack of height.

He's my dark horse pick for bottom of the first round for us.  If he's there in the second I don't think we wait.  But who knows, maybe lightning will strike twice and he'll fall like Geno did -- but I'd be shocked if he made it to the third. Still, I think with Geno's success a lot of teams will be looking for his comparison, and this guy is the closest thing to that in a while.

He's definitely intriguing if we just went best player available. Here is a short highlight video. Maybe it is just me, but it looks like he has the arms of a 6'5 guy despite him being short

Yeah, the arms do look long. I've just been so impressed by his motor, his open field agility and change of direction to bring down shifty RB's and QB's, and the bull rush to boot.

I didn't watch much, but they said Donald didn't do much tonight.  I caught the end when he had a huge sack for Pitt though.  I'm all for making this defense even better.

He was double and triple teamed most of the game, and actually got pretty frustrated by it.  But that last sack was amazing, partly bc it was the play that sealed the game, but also because he lined up at DE, and beat the tackle with a speed rush and dip with a lean that rivals the elites in the game.   Dude is a player.

Don't laugh, but after seeing him do that I suddenly thought there is a player in the league that he could remind me of even more than Geno:  James Harrison.  Same height and weight - although I don't think he carries it quite the same way haha...
