Reds are about to snatch last-place from the Pirates clutches. Lost their last 5 games, scoring a combined total of 3 runs, and have blown a 3 1/2 game cushion in that time. What a miserable end to the season.

Top 2 candidates Reds manager.

Skip Schumaker

David Ross

It would seem a good fit for Schumaker in St Louis but

word is Yadier Molina will get the nod.

David Ross has ties with the Reds.

I'll go with the Reds signing Schumaker.

At all.

Well see I'm not a big the manager is why we were losing guy

When a team disappoints their expectations the manager usually is the first to go.

Such the case with Bell

Bell was viewed as an analytic when making moves.

Players have talked about his refusal to hold accountability.

Francona using analytics as well but yours it by going with his gut feelings in situations as well.

He has the track record of getting the most out of his teams.

I think it's a positive move.

I'm just not sure how the manager can make the players more consistent. That's coaching to me, not managing.

Terry Francona is the new manager

Love this! I watched him a lot when my hubby would be watching Indians games and I always liked him. I just hope he's over all of the health issues that plagued him the last couple of years in Cleveland.

Report says he's lost alot of weight

,and feels great.

Side notes.

Only 2 MLB managers were born in South Dakota....

Terry Francona..

Sparky Anderson..

Terry managed Michael Jordan at Birmingham.
