Shebengal
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/mlb/reds/2024/02/14/don-gullett-former-cincinnati-reds-and-yankees-pitcher-dies-at-73-big-red-machine-world-series/72602088007/ He was my mom’s favorite Reds pitcher. My very first game was the night that Don Gullett took a Larvell Blanks line drive off of his thumb, breaking it and causing him to miss 2 months of the 1975 season. 😢That wound up being the impetus for Sparky Anderson to become “Captain Hook “. He blamed himself for leaving him in too long.
