The Bengals remain alive in the AFC playoff picture mostly because of Joe Burrow, and he’s being recognized for his big game in Saturday’s win over the Broncos.

Burrow has been named the AFC offensive player of the week for Week 17.

Burrow completed 39 of 49 pass attempts for 412 passing yards and three touchdowns, plus another touchdown rushing, in the Bengals’ 30-24 overtime win over the Broncos.

This is Burrow’s seventh player of the week award. He also won the award in Weeks 4 and 16 of 2021, Weeks 7, 13 and 16 of 2022, and Week 8 of 2023.

AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals · QB

The search for Burrow's magnum opus might end with his performance in Saturday's thrilling 30-24 overtime win over the Broncos in Week 17. The Bengals quarterback went 39-of-49 passing for 412 yards and had four total touchdowns (three passing, one rushing), orchestrating and scoring the go-ahead TD late in regulation and generating the game-winner in OT. What Burrow went through to achieve it all -- seven sacks, 15 QB hits -- is the context which makes his effort all that more impressive, and Cincinnati remains alive in the postseason hunt because of its burgeoning superstar.
