  1. Hold on…it’s “Player X Visiting Team Y” season. How many times have the Bengals had a Player X visit them, with no results?
  2. What the devil is that blather all about? I don’t understand Mike-speak…or whoever this X-warrior is.
  3. I’m rooting for you, BJ. I really do not want to see your hopes go
  4. A much more real illustration of quality. Baseball used to be the same way. Only “playoff” was the World Series
  5. Great catch: 11 Championships out of the 50 up until the merger
  6. Won’t cost him a red cent. Sleight of hand “restructuring”.
  7. In the years before “tampering period”, the Bengals (or the media) would always use the expression “wait until the dust settles”. Since we all knew that first-day free agency was never in their plans, the leftovers after Days 1 and 2, were going to be the ones who didn’t “get what they wanted”. These are actually the vast majority of FA’s Now that “official free agency” is set to begin, actual face to face negotiating will take place. The days of “Player X scheduling visits with Teams A/B/C” are upon us. I expect Jonah to be one of those “scheduling visits”.
  8. And there is no Hakeem Adeniji to kick around any more. Or is that Mixon? Or Nixon?
  9. And how this team “can’t afford 2 WR1’s” It’s the Fan Off-Season Cycle of Life: ”He’s too expensive” ”He doesn’t want to be here” ”We have to get something for him.” ”We don’t need two WR1’s”
  10. It might work against the Falcons. It won’t against the Rats
  11. What a final blow to a Bengal who gave his all here—and showed it. “conditional 7th Round pick” is about as insulting as it is completely irrelevant
  12. Played the game a lot—at multiple levels. And I played when there were few player safety rules. So yes, quite old. Not getting the snide responses…I have no fight with you.
  13. Appreciate the honors! 😀 Can’t speak for Jamie, but they did not consult me…sadly. I suppose I’m too old. I just remember a time when the Bengals couldn’t beg/borrow/steal a consistent 1,000-yard RB who also scored TD’s. Live through the Derrick Fenner days, and it would be understood. And, while I get the “all-pass/all the time” mode of present day offenses, it seems like—here anyway—the clock has turned backwards: in the early to mid ‘90’s they were living on backup/mid-rounds picks-quality RB’s…they are going back to the future. Ahh, who knows..maybe Zack is like Pacheco—run like hair is on fire and actually gets the seams. They hit that luck with Bienemy back when. As a consultant, that is always possible
  14. If there is a hole. All 5’9” of his low-mileage/backup self will find the same Masada walls that Joe did.
  15. They will get light years more out of Broke-Down Derrick, than the Bengals will get out of mid-tier/backup Zack. Bank on it
  16. Prettying up a backup…”mid-tier”. And that all-encompassing word “cheaper”! Ehh..whatever. RB’s aren’t that essential anyway…so I read.
  17. I suppose the question begs: why would the moribund/broke CAR turn around and give their premium 2nd rounder to the Bengals…knowing they are going to easily have to pay that same $30 bills? Just not seeing it.
  18. Zack Moss vs Derrick Henry? The Rats always come up smelling like roses in FA
  19. Thought I recognized his wife/kids. They and a few others of the Sample family sit in 104 a few rows in front of Amish and I
  20. Maybe. But they are looking at—should they actually go through with a “trade”—losing 2/3 of their front line receivers in one off-season. And they are going to be replaced by who exactly? It’s a bigger dilemma than what dorks in tank-tops on TV tell everyone
  21. And it’s day-late-dollar-short for any meaningful trade anyway. If he’s this dime-a-dozen-oft-injured-not-really-that-good player I’ve been reading about here today, just who is going to ante up all of this lusted draft capital—or do other teams just like to give this stuff away for broken-down nobody WR2’s?
  22. Yeah those dime-a-dozen WR 2’s/3’s. Easily filled with Chuck Fizzle and Trenton Irwin. Why am I seeing flashbacks of Rex Burkhead in a starring receiver role against IND?
