  1. looking at the Titans first three, weeks, has anyone watched them play? watching the game highlights and reviews and the box scores, it looks like its the same old titans, stop the run on them and dont get tricked into getting beat deep by one of their B tier WR's. theyve been kept to 3 points by the browns as well. Henry CANNOT go off if we want to win, itll be like the ravens game where we are just chasing our tails if he does. We know we have the guys to stop him, but its hard to stop that guy forever. Tannehill sucks still, harass him a little and he will make mistakes.
  2. depending on the talent level and scheme creativeness, sometiems it takes 2-3 weeks to figure out most of whats going on, sometimes its 6-8 (miami) to figure out whats going on. and soon as someone stops it, everyone has the film how to stop it or grossly slow it down. Puka is a solid player, but there was no chance he was going to sustain the Kupp like numbers too long. I am however surprised it was us who stopped it. with the youth and fresh back off injury squad we have, i expected him to have 12 catches.
  3. oh do the calf concerns persist, jason owens? do they? no fucking shit. i had to look up what someone who wrote this title looked like.
  4. mark schlereth fucking sucks, when i had a hour drive to work here in colorado, that clown was on local sports radio, fan favorite, has his own green chili "mark schlereth stinkin good green chili" no joke, had a truck driving around wrapped with that logo and stuff. but he is a walking catchphrase about old school hard nose knuckle dragging bloody nose football. he is the one who talks about just piss your pants if you gotta go during a game, a mans man, que tim the toolman taylor grunting. i fucking hate this guy, youre gonna hear at least 15 cliche "hardnose football" style comments during this game. and at least 2. "back in my day" macho-man stories. man i fucking hate that guy.
  5. mccarron has absolutely no idea what the offense is, and he has absolutely no way to learn it aside from post practice time with whomever can spend that time with him. mccarron isnt anywhere close to playing for the bengals.
  6. It was clear much of the success, even though it mostly stalled out, from Monday was due to the creative ways of moving the WR's pre snap and the post snap direction fakes, etc. The problem is, now all of that is on film, the next DE wont fall for the fake pitch roll out, he is coming for joe, they next defense has film of the pre snap motion and what it turned into post snap, so where you would think "cool, now we can build on that" its almost the opposite, thats almost all trash now, until joe is healthy and we can run full speed playbook wide open gameplans, we are stuck making tweaks weekly to try to "trick" the defense and get some open shots at guys at LEAST mid range. This is a pretty big test for Zac, Brian and Joe. Honestly I was impressed with as much creative movement as they were able to do in 8 days time. Obviously its all window dressing on the base playbook, like if chase is wide left on a play, they last night put him in the back field and then put him in motion in hopes of a clot, LB or safety having to go cover him outside vs the set CB who would be out there since he was in the backfield. so its kind of easy, figuratively speaking, to make these changes, because 1-2 people have a slightly changed role, and the play itself is the same for everyone post snap. just a formation or motion alteration to try to gain and advantage. this is easily the biggest chess match the bengals players and staff have had to play since coming together. I am almost excited to see what they come up with with time. I am assuming, for no real reason, that this is going to be the process until after the bye hoping joe is close to 100% at that point if there are no setbacks.
  7. seems unlikely unless we play some trash defenses. its like these broncos fans being mad that russell wilson sucks. "we gotta do something" yea man good luck with that, dude is still gonna suck next week. bengals will hit stride the second week joe is healthy, maybe the first. until then, its gonna be motion, deception and mixing it up cause now allllllll thats on film.
  8. bengals also had+12 minutes time of possession in the rams game, they had decent drives most of the time, they just stalled. 36 minutes to 24. obviously this helped the defense tee off more, but to say one drive that was semi short caused the TD drive is absolutely wild
  9. yea all that was brought up, they were doodoo from the jump in the first two games. or at least the ravens one, run D was pretty tough, they essentially scored 7 points per qtr. yea i dont think two miscommunication/blown coverages by very very very young players had absolutely anything to do with the 6 play drive the bengals had.. what so ever really. they were so tired they forgot the defense? the point is very valid, just not really in that instance.
  10. glad this was settled today. defense made plays, were disruptive, and kept a team to 9 points for 58 minutes. cant ask for much more. the mistakes seem to be geared at the youngsters learning, which is acceptable.
  11. this could be so much worse. pretty neutral, wonder if he has an ablum coming out or doing a tour, no other reason on earth to do this shit for free.
  12. thanks for putting up with my nonsensical postgame following posts, i enjoy seeing and responding to the in game madness, even if no one else likes it, lol
  13. loved to see it. now he knows how joe felt in the superbowl (and most weeks the last two years) man i was just saying over and over to not let them score before the 2 minute warning. couldnt tell but it looked like dax blew the coverage over the top buy the announcer said cheeto should have kept dropping, it was clearly zone, you can let a guy by you in zone buy keep dropping and be worth a damn if no one is over top... did you have goldstar by chance? hahaha, this was funny. lol. and the missed FG, and the magical INT they had. sloppy sloppy game, but got the W, ill take it. they looked great aside from 3-4 mistakes. great to see.
  14. wasnt expecting that with him coming in hurt, but we also didnt have lots of options. with donald taking 2 gays the run defense is gonna be pretty good, our big plays involved a bit of deceit to be successful, so it wasnt something sustainable, got the W tho. would have predicted 30 attempts for joe before the game though. they really did a bad job of injury updates, hope he is alright. lol take it easy. as much as i dislike Volson, he IS going against aaron donald, who tends to abuse just about everyone. this is important. i like this.
  15. lol, yea sure, the defense would hate to just easily single cover a no name dude from the bench and have extra attention for boyd and chase, its not like the defense is slacking off tee because he dropped some balls, even as a decow he is worth more than the other two. oh shit, cool guy alert. incredible play by the defender, MAYBE boyd coulda come back more, but no way you think the defender can pull that play off. that was brutal. we were cruisin a little. those two had a baller ass game, loved to see it. lol better than everyone else on the roster by a large margin. burrow making some off throws due to injury i feel is likely a LOT better than browning being trusted to read this tricky defense, taking longer drops and dealing with donald, etc. browning has taken what 5-6 snaps ever? i dont need that negativity out there.
  16. everyone sucks at drafting oline, because college offenses dont make linemen that are ready for the NFL, an RPO or run QB or roll out every pass QB makes linemen who arent blocking rushers every play like the NFL has. i have poste the data before, which is that 30% of first and second round draft pick linemen in the NFL make it to an extension on the team that drafted them, 70% are out of the league, cut or not re-signed by the team that drafted them. which is why there isnt even half the linemen in the league being good or better. its a shit show, really youre shooting for getting linemen who can be the best fit for your offense style, more so than just finding great guys, cause thats so so so hard to do. in any great line, there is linely 1-2 guys being hidden by the talent around them, and the offense is schemed to continue to hide it. this and finding a legit QB are the two hardest things for an NFL team to do
  17. such a quick hand, i was thinking he was a wasted blitz getting no where and got his hand on that, great play out of a failed scheme, loved it. lol, yea their front 4 doesnt have any all pro hall of famers on it, should be fine. just run it. dude is good for sure, lolololol literally not a single penny has changed for his payday, not a penny. players have off games. he's fine. lololol what even is this.
  18. lmfao. someone is quickly forgetting like 40 years of this teams history, which was indeed a nightmare, this is merely unpleasant. yea, no. reps are vital to keep up to speed, like nba players shoot everyday even though they are the best in the world, the reps are vital, the timing, is vital to keep sharp, they are 100% correct, the reps are effecting it as well as the calf throwing off the typicaly timing. both are a factor 100% lmgdfao what the actual fuck. because so far in joes career, the oline was getting him murdered under center, and turning his back on the defense was getting him murdered, so we moved to shotgun a year or two ago for most all offensive plays. joe keeps everything in front of him, etc. yea thats not it. just has the butter fingers tonight, shit happens, it blows, he had a terrible night. but nothing points to effort. this is the o-line gets people killed we need to buy time and eliminate surpises behind joes back offense. dude what. man no. cant be trusted.
  19. not many other options, we arent built for a inexperienced backup QB without the mind, arm, or experience of burrow either. so really whats the point? i am positive we are not. he absolutely planted his back foot on every throw because thats how you throw.
  20. man this dude is having a really bad time this year. yea its tough, the longer drop backs are more step and plants on that calf AND are designed for longer balls which take more time and risk hits, its sadly the way to go, but is not comfortable to watch. mully, that you? especially when its ALL you do all day everyday for like 8 years. a bad punter is wild to have.
  21. how? the best player on the field is injured, cant run, cant move fast in the pocket, cant roll out. thats like half the playbook, plays that take long enough to need to buy time, especially against aaron donald whose going again VOLSON, like what did you expect to see? the dude cant fast plant and cant run. the offense is very very limited. just not fast enough, if youre dropping 7 you can cover 3 guys easily for a period of time. and we arent willing to run longer developing plays due to joe being so limited. dude wuuuuuuut. joe burrow has never lacked confidence in anything in his life. he just knows better with the calf, the one he has to PLANT on to throw that far and have the time in the pocket to let a play develope that far. OMFG that was fucking bullshit. someone needs to write a letter, espn is so fucking stupid. and also get that score off the screen, why are you showing another games score in the corder. worst shit ever.
  22. this is fucking stupid what the fuck can you do. magically make players good? force free agents to come here? vastly overpay for an oline when you cant afford the talent you have over the next 2-3 years? the fuck magic yall got up your sleeves? area are like 45 good or better olinemen in the LEAGUE. and there are 160 starting linemen. this is almost every teams problem.
