*** [RD 2] Bengals Select ~ DEMETRIUS KNIGHT JR, LB ***
NFL.com had him as the 2nd ILB in the draft. He seems like a hard working, mature young man. NGL...I wanted Ratledge but I don't hate it. He can compete for a starting role or play ST. Married w/2 kids and he used to door dash after games to put food on the table, he's a grown man that will be dependable. Stewart can get pressure but can't tackle, Knight can clean up and make sure to get guys on the ground.

Here's my ideal mock draft: 17 Jalon Walker EDGE | Georgia 49 Xavier Watts S | Notre Dame 81 Tate Ratledge IOL | Georgia 119 Nohl Williams CB | California 153 Jordan Phillips DL | Maryland 199 Jack Kiser LB | Notre Dame 214 Pat Bryant WR | Illinois- Your mock offseasons/Wishlists 2025
To think it took the players and their agent holding the franchise hostage to drag them into the 21st century when it comes to team building is crazy. If Burrow hadn't made an ultimatum of re-signing Chase, Higgins, Hendrickson and Geiski and Rocky Arceniuex ensuring that Chase and Higgins were a package deal then this would have never happened. The Bengals still have work to do to improve the team, until then they need to keep changing the narrative and perception of the franchise. These deals should have been done a year ago, they cost themselves time and money by being "tough" in negotiations.- Bengals Free Agency 2025
Scherff would be an upgrade, still need to draft an OG within the first 3 rounds of the draft.- Bengals Free Agency 2025
You're assuming they wanted to come here, there has to be mutual interest- Bengals Mock Draft 9.0
Pearce us the speed rusher this team needs. Green is a lil too rapey for me Stewart doesn't have enough production Nolen would be a depth player, the Bengals have more pressing needs on both sides of the ball than drafting a 2nd or 3rd stringer in the first round. Safety isn't a bigger need than DE so no Starks for me. I really like the 2 DEs from OSU or Scrouton from A&M.- Bengals FA Signings - 2025
Tevin would be a good signing- A look back at draft success.Because obviously only the bengals miss on draft picks, right?
What is the point of this thread?- A look back at draft success.Because obviously only the bengals miss on draft picks, right?
Instead of Burrow?- Mock of the day, using Goodberry's concensus big board
that would be ideal for us, he may not be a workout warrior or an impressive physical specimen but he's a damn good football player so hopefully teams discount his play because he didn't test well.- S Offseason 2025
If Watts is there in the 2nd round I would take him, especially if they draft a DE in the first. He can come in and be a defense QB and make sure everyone is properly aligned, which was a big problem last year.- S Offseason 2025
I think they will give Stone a shot with a new DC that can adjust his scheme to match the players on the roster. It seems like Lou waited until the season was over to make adjustments and simplify things for guys like Stone, whose play improved towards the season. I agree that his tackling left a lot to be desired but he does have value in coverage, he has 11 ints in the past 2 seasons, which makes him 2nd in the NFL behind Kerby Joseph with 13.- S Offseason 2025
Bell is slow af, I be surprised if any team picked him up. I think his playing days are done.- EXCEL, MATH, SCIENCE problem..... anyone have any thoughts?

Just get it done, whatever it takes. If they have cut some guys to make space then do it, he was the only consistent player on that defense last year, outside of him everyone is replaceable.- LB Offseason 2025
The Bengals should go all in on Baun, I would cut Pratt and give Baun a big contract with early guaranteed money. Our LB play was extremely inconsistent last year and Baun would be a big-time upgrade over Pratt, teaming him with Wilson will be a great combo. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2025/2/23/24359809/zack-baun-bengals-coach-mike-hodges-eagles For a new coach, getting players they are familiar with is a big plus, especially if it's an All-Pro coming in the door with a Super Bowl ring.- My apologies to the collective
Wait I missed it..what r u apologizing for...u know what, nevermind Whose going to apologize to Sam Hubbard for the slander his good name has suffered recently? That's what the "collective" really wants to know,. When is BJ going to apologize for not finishing the Whodeyian Chronicles because he was busy getting his PHD...that was like 20 years ago..still waiting. When is Oldschooler going to apologize to me for being wrong so often? Or Go going to apologize to John Thornton for crashing his message board and taking his idea????- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
The Bengals are a better team with a healthy Sam Hubbard. He's a leader on and off the field, a Cincinnati guy that stands up for all of the city....that means something to the Bengals, the business community, and the fans Also, you have no clue if the Eagles will release those players, that's all pure conjecture to fit your argument. Laurie runs the Eagles like modern business, you hit the nail on the head. He hires smart people like Howie Rosemond gets out of the way, he doesn't fancy himself a football man because of his dad or grandfather's accomplishments...it's a meritocracy Hubbard played well in 2023, not sure where this narrative is coming from that he's holding the team back or dead weight...he's 8th all time on the franchise sack list and only 5 sacks from being in the top 5.. I can't wait to see everyone that wanted him gone eat crow when he comes back healthy in 2025.- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
Hubbard had a solid season 2023 and played all of 2024 with a serious hamstring injury. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2024/11/17/24298996/sam-hubbard-injury-torn-hamstring-2024-nfl-season-cincinnati-bengals Hubbard is 11th all time in the Bengals sack list, when he's healthy he's a good player. Teams don't get better by cutting players like him.- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
Lol...this narrative that cutting Hubbard is the only way to keep our star players is ridiculous.- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
Who said Hubbard was the reason the reason are poor? Rankins is making the same amount as Hubbard, who would you rather have? Cappa, Rankins, Volson, and Moss should get cut before Hubbard. That almost 30 million in cap savings by cutting those 4 players. This idea that Hubbard is some albatross around the Bengals neck is silly. He's not dead weight or the reason why Hendrickson, Chase, or Higgins haven't gotten new deals.- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
You're joking but that does matter. The team wants it's players to be good ambassadors in the community that they rely on for support. Injuries or whatever...lol..it's not whatever. It's injuries. Let's make this a realistic example, if you were injured on the job would u expect to be fired even though you have been an exemplary employee...of course not. Hubbard is a team captain that performs at a high level when he's on the field, cutting him before his contract expires because of injuries is not going to happen. When healthy Hubbard is the 2nd best DE on the roster currently, until that changes I don't see Hubbard getting cut.- * AFC NORTH CAP STATUSES *
Spotrac has a great tool that allows you to manage the cap of any of your favorite sports team https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/manage/_/team/cin# If you use this site it's pretty realistic and it shows how easy it would be to keep everyone that deserves to be kept while adding talented vets to compete for starting spots. If the Bengals don't re-sign Tee, extend Chase and Henderickson, and add proven vets it's because they don't want to not because they don't have the money to do so. - Your mock offseasons/Wishlists 2025
