  1. Yeah fair points. However, and this may just be my interpretation/perception, but if we are talking playing the game today, I'm not sure that the coaching style Forrest had would be as effective? IMHO, the whole today vs the past, styles of play, styles of coaching, evolution of the game, etc, etc, were what made this exercise challenging and fun...and certainly debatable/discussionable (is that a word?) in an interesting way too. I love hearing peoples thoughts, recollections, and takeaways especially on the older stuff. I wasn't nearly as much of a fan back in the day and only casually followed and mostly only because they were the local team.
  2. No question Paul Brown was an awesome coach and terrific innovator for football. However, in keeping with the spirit of the question, I'm picking a coach now to win the big game today and with the way the game is played today. To me, that means motivating players, scheming against the opposition, and winning the game. That being said, my choices came down to Zac and Sam and ultimately Sam got my vote.
  3. Yeah, I'm confused...where was this information during the criminal court case? Not a fan of all this at all...something is rotten in Denmark if the only consequences are in Civil Court. Is there still some criminal proceedings out there or is this all there is at this point?
  4. Wow that sure puts a different spin on this incident...assuming all true of course.
  5. Definitely tough IMHO...I had to go with Zimmer but man I could have just as easily voted for Lou or LeBeau.
  6. Interesting stats...and interesting that you chose to include Jones' stats with Tennessee and Dallas and not just the Bengals. I'll add: Brandon Wilson (as a Bengal) returned 58 kickoffs for 1,542 yards (26.6 yards/return Bengals all-time leader) and took it to the house TWICE (Jones had zero TD's) However, I still go with Tremain Mack though...I think he was the most "electric" KR the Bengals ever had...albeit with a lower average than Jones or Wilson. Tremain Mack returned 146 kickoffs (Bengals all-time leader) for 3,583 yards (Bengals all-time leader) for an average of 24.5 yds/return and had 2 TD's.
  7. Pretty impressive considering he's only going to be, what, a Sophomore in HS this upcoming year?
  8. Did I miss something with these two? Did they get injured and I missed it with all the attention on JoeB?
  9. Oh crap, you're right...just because I voted for him didn't mean he made it.
  10. I love Parrish, and he was my unanimous pick for CB. Also, I'm not really a big fan of Jones. But...but...since Parrish is already on the team, and the premise is a one-time SB run, I ended up voting for Jones just to have him on the team due to his passionate play.
  11. I like the idea of variety, but I also think we should let Kay Adams be the ruler once a year...she wore it well...she wears everything well.
  12. Spoken like someone who's never had a car damaged in a parking lot. Not fun and never any witnesses or notes left resulting in damage claim, time lost, cost of insurance deductible and your car is never the same. Sorry, but his is a hot button topic for me since I'm a car guy and people who are lazy, irresponsible, and "privileged" just piss me off...and yes it does impact others...frequently. It's both ironic and comical that the idiots in that video are blabbering on about "personal property" and "touching/damaging personal property" when that is in fact the very issue but on the other side of the coin.
  13. Yeah, agree. Apparently it was a big shindig at the estate of the Fanatics CEO in the Hamptons with a "White Apparel" theme...attendees included Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Kardashian/Jenner, Kevin Hart, many sports celebs, etc, etc.
  14. Everybody is special these days...rules, common sense, and common courtesy obviously don't apply to these privileged individuals.
  15. I was thinking the same thing...maybe its just the perspective/angle of the view, but dayum that boy looks like a f-ing beast!
  16. I still don't understand all the tricks/games regarding the salary cap and "getting by with stuff"...so...I'm wondering if this isn't just some way to play the cap game so it actually benefits the Chiefs team as a whole and not necessarily just for Kermit's personal salary/ego?
  17. Good luck to Gio in his future endeavors...always like him...played bigger than his size and with heart. Wasn't he the one driving his Mother-In-Laws old mini-van in Hard Knocks? Good stuff.
  18. As a born and raised Westsider who now lives on the Eastside and also Skyline lover, I cannot agree and you may actually have that backwards. The original Skyline was on Glenway Ave in the westside (1949) not far from Elder HS...long before GoldStar existed and started in Mt Washington in the eastside (1965). I'll eat either, but much prefer the taste of Skyline...or Price Hill Chili or Camp Washington Chili or Blue Ash Chili for that matter. However, I can't argue with T-Dub's point about the lack of Skyline's meatiness vs GoldStar though...true dat. Actually, I always chuckle about comparisons/preferences with food...there's a reason why ice cream comes in so many flavors...we all have different tastes. Prolly applies to things other than food too. J&D here we come
  19. Trump attended with (or at least sat next to?) an interesting mix of Mike Tyson, Kid Rock, and Dana White (president of UFC). They were seated in the same row as the Burrow gang, but just closer to the aisle. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-surprise-ufc-287-appearance-mike-tyson-kid-rock-2023-4
