NEWS FEED: Big Ben won't blame injuries for sub-par 2006

Recommended Posts

His former offensive coordinator gave him an out for his subpar performance in 2006, but Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger didn't take it.

From the first blogger there:

I think Ben is lying to himself to say that none of those things affected him. He almost died and he knows it!! You can't tell me that doesn't affect someone

More from the same guy:

but the near death experience may be something that affects him for life.

One can only hope!

The freaking excuse machine is getting fired up for 2007!

Don't worry--he'll have a whole new set of injuries before the season begins anew. His motorcycle accident is old news. This year--struck by lightning, catched the plague, and attacked by a baboon at the zoo.

Well, he has his epitaph ready for that day when the Reaper claims him.

Here lies Ben Roethlisberger: Why Not?

The obsession continues.

Ahh, Serenity Now.

If only Carson had played the last game of the year you all would have beaten us and made the playoffs since the Broncos lost. I hope Anthony Wright plays next year when we meet because we all know that:

Shit we deserved to lose that last game of 2006. It was almost like the stealers tried to give us the game (WP fumbles at the 1; missed FG that would have won it) and we couldn't cash in. I'm sure 99% of the members here can agree on that.

You do have one thing right though Carson > Ben and the stats can back that up. Carson = 2 pro bowls; Ben = 0. And yes, Ben has a SB* ring but he couldn't have done more to hurt his team in that game than what he did.

Basically most of us here think Ben is a whiny little bitch and nothing more. Always has some kind of "freak" injury every few weeks.

You are the first person to mention Carson in this thread, but at least you got the Carson is better than Ben part right.
