Very cool. Did you take these?

Took them last night, a friend of mine and I went on a class/safari that is offered here

Didja get any shots of the tires and dead bodies floating down the Anacostia River? At nighttime, it looks almost like you can walk across to the other side.

Here are a bunch of other DC "monuments"

DC sucks. Nice place to visit, better place to leave.

You missed the best one--especially at night: FDR Memorial.

Great shots, Jamie!

I've only been to the WWII memorial once before - the weekend it was dedicated. Strange for me to see it so empty :(

It had a decent amount of people, I just got a shot at night when people we leaving, when I was there at dusk it was pretty full.

FDR hugs the Tidal Basin, so on the other Safari, I'd assume you'd hit FDR as well as Jefferson, which has an excellent view of the White House. On the east end of the Tidal basin is one of the US Mint printing facilities. When you walk by it and they're printing-- and you know they're on overtime right now, right? ;) you can smell the money.
