Watching some OL

Recommended Posts

I know we had this convo before but who else do you guys like at this spot and who should we be watching. Carimi, from what I have read and seen, reminds me of Whitworth...very solid but not incredibly athletic. Will probably go in the 1st round because of position but talent would put him around round 2?

Moffitt is very solid too.

Also watch Justin Boren from OSU. I've seen many sites rate him as a 4th or 5th rounder. Don't get that. He's one of the better LG's in the country.

Living in Columbus I know the OL is much maligned. That might be a part of it.

wonder if their WR, nick toon comes out this year? my guess would be he would, because he appears to be upset with the number of touches he's getting this year after a great season last year. with the sub par year he's had this year, he might equate to a 3rd or 4th round sleeper with great size, ball skills, and DNA.

i don't think that plays that much a part in it. it probably has more to do with it being very early in the process, plus him being a guard. watch him, he consistently gets to the 2nd level and also does a real good job when asked to pull.

another guy to watch is Marvin McNutt from Iowa.

Also like Mark Dell from Michigan state as a sleeper WR.

the left side of the line is pretty good for OSU.

Holy crap, 39 rushing touchdowns for Wisconsin this year. Unreal.

even more incredible....3 different RBs have carried for 10+ TDs. i don't know if i've ever heard of that before.

Another sleeper WR is Cobb out of Kentucky. Returns kicks and punts and a big play receiver if he gets the ball in space.

Maybe not related, but watched some Michigan State today.
Count me as not interested in Greg Jones LB.
I suppose his previous years statistics is why people seem to
have him listed as a possible 1st day guy. I believe the kid from
Illinois-Wilson is better and I believe Homan from OSU is better.
Just my take on watching some Big Ten teams.
