Peyton Manning trivia from Mike and Mike

They didn't count Bledsoe since he didn't play. They're counting starting SB QBs. Plunkett is the obscure one i mentioned. Elway, Aikman are correct. That's 3. I got Elway, Aikman and one other, but not Plunkett.

2 more. One is recent. Which you may kick yourself when you realize. The other, I didn't know he was a 1st overall, but won multiple SBs.

How about Steve "I went to bed thinking we had Steve" Young?

Does the supplemental draft count? I just looked it up, and saw that he was the #1 draft pick, but it wasn't the college draft. He played in the USFL, and was then picked #1 in the supplemental draft when the USFL folded.

I cheated and looked it up....and now I'm embarrassed...

The local trivia and reference was Mike Brown was sure he had Young sewed up with the number one pick in the draft.
Agent (I think it was the infamous Leigh Steinberg) signed Young with the USFL over night thus the Mike Brown quote
"I went to bed thinking we had Steve Young".

I didn't know that either, but I was actually referring to the final answer.

Steve Young could be a legitimate answer, but they didn't count him.

I didn't know that the last one was a #1 overall being from such a small school.

Correct. Bradshaw and Plunkett were back to back. 70 and 71, respectively.

Manning
Manning
Elway
Aikman
Plunkett
Bradshaw

Young (technically)

Bledsoe was technically a Super Bowl QB too :P

But he didn't win a Super Bowl, he watched. There could be a couple more if back-ups count. Testeverde was on 20+ teams, there's a chance that he may have a ring also.

Who are the five QBs beside Peyton Manning that was a #1 overall draft pick and won a Super Bowl? I got 3. One is fairly obscure.

Without looking it up or at your guys' answers...

Drew Bledsoe?
Eli Manning
John Elway

That's all I can think of... I wonder if we can find one that was a former #1 pick and was a back up somewhere down the line and won one

edit:

And it's already been done.
