Don't worry about Pollack and Thurman.

Recommended Posts

Encouraging news on Nate, we've got Miller, Landon Johnson, and Brian Simmons plus some others whose names escape me. Nate, Miller and Johnson could all start. Hell Landon could start any of the Backer slots. We will be just fine.

These players are only hurting themselves and their chances of starting by holding out.

[quote name='Jason' date='Jul 28 2005, 07:52 PM']Thurman doesn't bother me a whole lot, but I think Pollack is critical.  But as long as everyone is in by next Friday (1 week before first pre-season game) I will be content.

I was thinking the same thing..... We do still have our final game MLB from last year, so no big rush. But I would like to see Pollack getting the early reps

Who cares if we have these guys back? They got ran over last year. Nate's only about 70%-75% healthy, and Miller and Johnson are both coming off of injuries also.

So are you saying Landon Couldn't start at, what is it, "Sam"? Strong Side? aww hell Left outside linebacker.

Anyway i think it was a bit presumptious of Marvin to tab these guys as starter. It's a good way to light the fire of the players you already have on the roster though.

He sucked. There's a reason why a rookie who hasn't even played in training camp has been named the starter already.

I'll wager that marvin cares. He drafted em, and signed Nate as a free agent.

Do you think the Browns are worried about the uncapped year in 2007? I'm sure they would not spend any more than they are now, maybe less.

Ok, there's a reason that Marvin Lewis drafted a MLB in the second round, after the "spectacular" (laugh) season put up by Landon Johnson.

Thurman was brought in to be the starting MLB.

Oh yeah,

I thought Pollack loved the game of football so much, there is no way he will hold out.

No, definitely not. Simmons is one of the best defensive players we have.

Sure, #56 is very good, but he's getting up there in age, and his contract is running out. So yah I think Landon was drafted as insurance, and for competetion. Landon is pretty dam good in this idiotic fans opinion. I think he did a hell of dance last season being thrown into the fire like that.

I truly doubt those were his real numbers. Bengals.com is the only place with that high number. Every place else has him round the mid 80s.

Why is it though, every year the bengals have some new clause or some new technique they are trying that holds up these signings. I know they are trying to be responsible for the future, but at some point you have to say fuck it the future is NOW! Get Pollack and Thurman signed!! And wtf is a 4th rounder thinking holding out when there is an undrafted free agent(Wilkerson) that some people think is potentially better, there waiting to take his spot. Use your brain Ghiachuc....get the fuck in camp!!!!!

He just turned 30. Landon had 84 tackles playing at MLB. That's EXTREMELY average. He's not ready to take Brian's spot, and Brian ain't ready to give it up.
