Hope you're right.

BTW, can't find it now but saw somewhere this morning that Kappa isn't a lot better than Volson.

well he is 25 spots higher than volson for guards in the NFL right now... thats a pretty steep difference.

8 hours ago, claptonrocks said:

Kappa is bad.Volson is horrendous

Karras trying to hold his own while  trying to help  whichever guard  breakes down on  pass plays..

.

.Can't see Carman playing worse every than Volson.

But CV is apparently a Pollack favorite it ..seems.

problem with karras helping is volson cant then go under and cover the stunt when they stunt, today dudes came from all the way outside and he didnt even flinch while karras was pushing his man outside from inside.

Dax Hill is all over the place, what a great pick

he is playing really well, had 2-3 potential mental errors this year, but his skillset is bananas.

Trenton Irwin day....😄

i called this, ask my kid or dan savage.. called it, perfect guy for where the offense is, realiable, quick for the important underneath stuff.

7 hours ago, Cricket said:

Moore was moving forward when the ball was snapped.  How do the refs miss that?

i am curious about this stuff, in another game, there seems to be some judgement fluff in this rule now, where if the guy is moving forward "in the process of squaring his shoulders" its ok, which seems suspicious, so i guess they are only going to call it if you hit the line at an angle moving forward? or when they wanna fix games.

He and Battle are going to make the safety position elite before long.

battle makes some good and some bad, more project in him than hill by a lot, but he shows flashed of being a factor, hope it plays out that way. i like him too

If Irwin keeps this up ... might be time to trade Tee for a starting RT before the trade deadline.

RT is our highest rated lineman at the moment. and teams done trade good linemen unless they dont think they can sign them. which means we wouldnt be able to sign them either. if there is a Tee trade it needs to be for picks to replace Tee

wow

Brown got completely owned

the slim speed rushers get around him, best he can do is bush them to a wider route, that drop was deep, wombo combo of hell. Brown is great at everything, except the specific style speed rusher, like he may do ok against a big Bosa type, but would get worked by the Cowboys dude. forget his name currently.

7 hours ago, BlackJesus said:

Hate to see Burrow get drilled ... but he looked really good evading before he did.

I think the calf made huge progress this week.

yea its strange seeing him that agile, LOVE to see it, while i hate to watch it, if that makes sense.

Cincinnati 34, Arizona 20

cin.png?w=110&h=110&transparent=true

Bengals

Is Joe Burrow back? Yes. Absolutely. Not only did Burrow have his best passing game since he suffered his calf injury, completing 36 of 46 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns, but the mobility he lacked through the first four games was very present against the Cardinals. Burrow had back-to-back scrambles for gains, something that was sorely lacking in the first four games. But his movement was on full display on an 11-yard touchdown pass to WR Ja'Marr Chase in the fourth quarter. He held the ball for 4.8 seconds, according to NFL Next Gen Stats, buying time until Chase streaked open.

Stock up after the win: Chase. He had three touchdowns Sunday after coming into the week with zero and set the Bengals' record for most catches in franchise history, finishing the game with 15 receptions for 192 yards.

Stock down after the win: Run defense. Cincinnati was gashed for big plays on the ground, which has become a common theme this season and is a major issue. WR Rondale Moore had a 41-yard run for the Cardinals and RB James Conner had a 35-yard rush. -- Ben Baby

Next game: vs. Seahawks (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET)

Tyler Boyd needs to start winning his matchups

i personally think part of the problem is he is down the check list so far 3rd option, that often he isnt checked to as the plays are not lasting that long, like we are rushing the reads to protect joe and Boyd is never gotten to.

like to see a pick

boy did this come true.

7 hours ago, sois said:

THat play looked like there wasnt a hot route available, lame design by Zac.

Looks like Burrow is getting back to form.

so many money of initial cringe then he was fine and surprise and joy of expanding the offense a bit. love to see it.

trash ass call, soft ass ref.

7 hours ago, BlackJesus said:

When Arizona didn't being pressure our offense was unstoppable. Just like last week.

But now that they bring the heat, the OL can't adapt.

i think sometimes it takes a few series of seeing what they are doing to be able to adapt to it.

7 hours ago, claptonrocks said:

Just get him off STs .

why, he didnt do anything wrong. call was trash.

7 hours ago, BlackJesus said:

It seems like Nick Scott is always making the tackle down field ... not a good sign

he isnt good.

7 hours ago, claptonrocks said:

Ertz scores .

This defense is worrisome .

too many folks seem to expect a defense with like 4 either rookie or 2nd year guys or new guys to the team or injury recovering guys, to be amazing like the one full of health veteran top at their position filled defense. these growing pains suck and are frustrating.. but it is what it is.

All the same problems already deciding this game - the secondary can't cover so they're playing it safe in all facets of D.  The offense is inept after the opposing coaches figure them out.

Painful.

fucking nailed it... lmao.

Offense needs to go empty ... to lesson the chances of a blitz.

Tyler Boyd playing?

gotta complain about something.

7 hours ago, claptonrocks said:

Now is the time to bring Carman in and run the Jumbo, force it into the endzone

maybe at FB, pressure is getting in up the middle, wouldnt mind seeing joe jump over the pile more, but maybe we are a little shy after what we did to the ravens in the playoffs.

Bengals can't handle late stunts over the LG

thats what the 70th out of 76 guards in the nfl gets you.

6 hours ago, sois said:

Poor coaching, it's like the've never seen these basic rush technigques

oh shit, should ahve thought, just coach the 70th out of 76 guards in the nfl to be awesome... every tem should just make their bad players good!

6 hours ago, Jamie_B said:

If we can get a TD coming out of the half and then let the D pin their ears back

since we get ball do they get to pick direction in both halves or something?

i miss morriso on the hear that podcast growlin podcast, the guy who occasionally fills in isnt a bengals fan and sucks and just says a few words and doesnt know shit.

6 hours ago, HavePityPlease said:

Fucking nonsense.  They showed the replay, Irwin got bodied to the ground at like 6 yards from the LOS.  The announcers were giggling and trying to make excuses "oh, uh, that looked incidental... haha... yeah, their feet got tangled... haha..."

lol, with the throw coming out id expect a flag, anyone but Irwin and i assume they get it, but it was mild contact with a dramatic effect. a grey area.
