Jophis Posted September 27, 2005 Report Share Posted September 27, 2005
I dont buy this guy is a Texans fan, I think he is a steelers fan without a backbone to stand up for his team now that they are below us in the standings. Coward. [post="158501"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
Almost all Texan fans I know realize that the team is not in a good place and cannot compete with good teams at this point. They are hopeful for the future (don't know why) and they stand behind their team even when they lose (kinda like us in the past). I've never met one that was all arrogant about how they were gonna kick the ass of a team that is light years better than them. I agree with Jamie, he's no Texan fan- probably a Cowboy fan, still pissed about the ass whooping we gave them last year. WHO-DEY!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

[post="158487"][/post]
Thats got to be about the most insensitive post anyone has ever put on this board... We're talking about the GAME of football here not life and death... To wish destruction on anyone's home or family is beyond me.. What did the world do to make your heart so cold?? You've allways been somewhat of an unfeeling asshole but this goes beyond that... However, if we see Texan fans in the stadium this Sunday why don't we hold their hands, pat them on their backs, buy them a drink, and look them in the eyes and say, "We know what you are going through." http://www.purplepride.org/vikes/index.php...ewtopic&t=13822 As a Bengal fan, I am embarrassed by some of the Viking fan accounts depicted in this thread. [Kudos to BengalRick for posting an apology] I would hope that these are isolated incidents. There is a line between good-natured ribbing and being downright nasty. Let's not cross that line. I would hope that my Go-Bengal brethren would intervene when witnessing any crossing of said line. We have been the downtrodden for far too long. But let's show them that we can win with class. The beating that their team takes on the field should be painful enough. [..steps off soapbox...] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I havent been able to go to any games this year, but I averaged about 3-4 games a year since 2000 and went to every game last year. I've never seen bengals fans act like that towards other people(other than general trash talk). The one guys biggest complaint was people yelling, "WHO-DEY!!"...pffft go back to minnesota. The only fans i've ever had problems w/ at games are Steelers fans. Browns fans will bark and do whatever it is they do... But at the end of the day I never have any problems w/ them. I have noticed that the higher you sit in the stadium, the worse the behavior gets..(drunks going to their one game a year) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
HarDRhymR Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 I was at the game in the nose bleed seats and I am proud to say the fans did not throw or spit on anyone as far as I could see. I hate a punk. Anyone can be tough in there own stadium. Throwing beer and spitting is inexusable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
85fanwilkes Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 I did not witness anything like this at the bengals game. I mean we were yelling and stuff but that is all in fun but no spitting or anything thats just wrong. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
