  3. I don't normally jump in right away on this sort of thing, but I really like the new unis and the change they hopefully bring.

  4. Every year Arif Hasan (now at The Athletic) compiles a "Consensus Big Board" - which is his survey and average of The Top 300 from 50 industry sharp Big Boards. It is a fairly useful tool to get an idea about the general ranges that players might be available as you move through the draft. If the Bengals take Chase at 5 (or even if they take Sewell at 5 and are looking to double-dip at o-line) here is what the consensus is for o-line in the 30-55 range (Bengals pick at 38 overall in second round): Here are the o-linemen on on the Consensus Big Board between 30 and 55: Dickerson 33 Leatherwood 38 Cosmi 39 Humphrey 42 Radunz 46 Eichenberg 47 Mayfield 51 Davis 55 I am quite confident that we will have some large subset of that group available to sift through at 38 if they go Chase at 5. Frankly, if they go Sewell at 5, I still may want them to sample from that group.

  5. Gonna be honest, if they had trotted them out on the low without all this hype it probably would've taken me 2-3 games to notice.

  8. I know that quite a few don't like giving out all the one-year deals as opposed to going for a more permanent solution. The way I look at it, this roster is too leaky to fix long-term in one draft (and the roster is still the key to building the roster). This is especially true with out adding more premium picks. I see the one-year signings as bandaids, but bandaid that can stabilize thins until more permanent answers can be found next year (and who's to say the 1yrs can't be re-upped). There are still a handful of guys out there that I believe can be a great deal of help (Turner, Kerrigan, Houston, etc.) and would really like to see the team make a statement by signing at least one on each side of the ball in the next couple of weeks.

  9. Uni-Watch pointed something out I didn't even think of lol. They need to just fill in that white area with black!

  11. Or $7,000 Canadian. I am buying the black version of whoever the Bengals take in the first round. I got a Color Rush Joe Burrow last season.

  12. This is exactly what I want them to do. Sewell or Slater in the first and the best interior lineman in the second.

  13. I did, too, but ... Paul Brown's signature is in the inside back of the neck piece. Took awhile to find it and would have preferred it someplace else but still subtle. Props to the Bengals press and video corps for the release clips. The one of them coming up in a freight elevator to be met by cigar smoking Ocho, himself, deserves an Oscar. Very un-Bengal like and very cool.

  14. "SHIT!!!" - Katie Blackburn Honestly I'm not sure - they change the rules on uniforms and helmets enough where I can't keep up.

  15. I thought having numbers on the shoulders were a NFL requirement

  16. They need to make sure the stripes match on the jerseys and pants. Please don’t wear the jersey with black stripes on the shoulder and pants with orange stripes.

  19. MY FULL TAKE Overall, it is a little underwhelming. Some improvements, a few downgrades, and a few missed opportunities. There are 2 combos that really work for me (orange top & black pants + black top & black pants) and one combination that is hideous (orange top and white/orange pants). [Improvements] - Removing the white side panels. - Getting rid of wrap around pants point. - Paul Brown signature inside the neck. - Better shade of orange on the orange jerseys, less neon-y than before. - The sleeves are not different colors like before, which was odd. [Downgrades] - The white pants with orange stripes should be filled in with black. Without doing so, they should be burned and someone fired. Tigers are black and orange, or white and black (white tigers), but there are no orange and white creamsicle tigers. - Should have had an orange pants option for an all orange look, instead of two white pants. - The socks should not be solid colors, but rather striped, or orange and black etc. [Other iffy issues] - I would have preferred more stripes on the shoulder. The shoulder numbers were removed, but then a stripe was not put in their place. Nothing was. - I like the block numbers of the 80s better than this font. - I would have preferred 'Cincinnati' rather than 'Bengals' on front if forced to choose. But really the B logo was fine. Now the B logo doesn’t appear anywhere on the uniform. But will be the primary logo and in the middle of the field. - If they were set on writing 'Bengals', why not use the way the word was written on the first original helmet? - TBH, the only jersey that actually makes logical sense and matches the helmet is the orange one with black stripes. While I like the look of the black jerseys, they have orange stripes, which tigers nor the helmet do not have. That is why they traditionally included both colors in the shoulder i.e. the black should always be combined with orange like a tiger. This is not rocket science. How many focus groups does it take to explain what a fucking tiger looks like! All in all, I am sure they will grow on me, but the full grade would be like a B (fitting). The Orange top / black pants are an A, but the white pants with orange are an F. They are sleeker, cleaner, and many will likely approve since less is usually more. But these sort of stopped halfway. They didn’t go full retro, or full futuristic FUBU. They are a nice double up the middle, and not a debacle like the 2020 Rams, but they could have been a game changer. They deserve praise for leaving the helmet as is. If the helmet is ever changed that's a red line and a deal breaker.

  22. Yeah they should never be allowed to have a positive moment until they become a winning franchise. Heaven forbid.

  23. We haven't had any leak in the pants since the last playoff game... someone had to lay that out there lol

  24. One thing that I'm noticing now is that some of the jersey/pant combinations look mismatched. Like the one below...if the background of the striped panel was orange, it would look a lot better (in my opinion) but instead they opted for just black and white? To me its like we're viewing in color on only half the jersey (after some microsoft paint action...)

  25. Since Liverpool has now been dropped from the CL, and fighting for at best top-4 in PL, I am now focusing my attentions to the pride of Wales, the Swans of Swansea FC (in the horrid sort of tealish shirts)
