  1. Planning on the basis of 2023 comp picks is a loser mentality. Do what you need to do to field the best team you can in 2022 and let the comp picks take care of themselves. For what it's worth, Tretter and Collins wouldn't count against us. So far we've lost Uzomah, Phillips, and Ogunjobi while signing Karras and Cappa.

  6. Another thing I feel good about is the guys who played little or not at all from the previous drafts because they were injured or couldn't quite break the lineup. Ossai looked great until injured. He's coming back on the Edge. Shelvin getting a full year or pro training and reps could/should be able to contribute at least as a solid back up. The Center, Trey Hill, lurks at least as a back up. Carman... time to make poopie or get off the pot. So looks like with all the fantastic free agent moves, we got some young guys waiting in the wings, too. Good situation the Bengals have put themselves in.

  7. Couldn’t agree more…assuming that it gets Frank Pollack’s blessings.

  9. We got so spoiled with last year and yesterday, that now if a day goes by with no signings, I start to get antsy

  11. It's Mike Thomas the safety who we've re-signed. Mike Thomas, the WR is still on the market.

  13. I don't know why any player would want to end up in clevebergh with the way they have handled this Mayfield situation. Classless organization! Not that the QB is much better....Still

  14. Thats the question they have to asking themselves.. I do think Garropolo is somewhat bwtter but why would they want Mayfield and his contract with Lance due to lead them? Does Pickett Corral or Ridder. ( Willis is too short to draft in 1st imo) interest them enough to go after? I don't see Watson wanting or coming to Cleveland..Atl or Nawlins probably. Maybe they take a swing for Winston..

  15. You guys realize that Putin has nukes right? Anything that involves the use of any military force is a bad bad idea.

  16. Compensatory pick are a part of the process that should be taken into consideration, but not be the driving force. Definitely not a “loser mentality”. The Rams get three compensatory picks next month for the moves they made last year…those losers.

  17. Ya know Harry this is a year in which we really have no idea where theyll go with the draft.. Maybe they'd prefer 2 2nd rounders and additional pick later foe their 1st rounder.. They could draft an OL 3Tech, Edge. Corner or Garret fuckin Wilson😎 for all we know right now.. Love this free agency spree with them.. Those Blackburn women love to spend..😊

  18. It was said that Coach Pollack loves the kid and Collins admires him.. This deal should be close imo.. Cleveland"s release of TE Austin Hooper is another target..He'll have many suitors. Bozeman is in play as well.. Bengals aren't done by any means..

  19. I would agree as to the last statement. But if they are going with Hopkins at C and the two newbies flanking, or Karras at C and who knows at LG, then a proven RT is very necessary IMO. Not certain about the alleged intangibles...didn't see anything concerning as to last season. Coach Frank would know more about those I would figure.

  21. Considering the influx of quality free agents we are signing, the next couple/few drafts are going to have to look at guys to groom rather than step in and play immediately. Not that we are not looking for potential starters, but we have the luxury of, say, developmental project players in the mid-late rounds.

  22. Ravens signed Morgan Moses pretty cheap, 3/15. Good deal for them.

  25. Sure but lets not call them our so called enemy, Putin is former KGB and has always had ideas of returning Russia to it's former "glory". His entire worldview is through that KGB lens.

  26. True, but do you think USA would sit by and allow Russia to build defenses in Mexico? When you play politics with other nations, sometimes people die. It's been like that since the beginning of civilization. Is it right? No, I wish there were no wars. But since we have multiple nations with multiple values, sometimes bad things are going to happen. Especially when you keep poking at your so called enemy.

  27. I'm gonna be pretty disappointed if we don't add a third lineman in FA. The contracts for Cappa and Karras were so good, there is room to do more work. They need to do more work.

  30. Huh? It was entirely predictable and in fact was predicted by Over the Cap. Bengals both gained and lost 4 qualifying free agents last year. If we'd lost more than we gained or had a big deficit in value, we might have gotten a late pick for Ross. But he didn't do anything for the Gents so we didn't get a pick.

  32. That is disappointing. Smacks of “we’ll find somebody else” dismissals If the “assets” the Pats give up are 4th Round or less, then there is no excuse for the Bengals not doing the same. And $15.25 for a quality RT is peanuts.

  33. Going from Joe Burrow to Zach Wilson is like moving from a beach house in Tahiti to one in Antarctica. Sad to see Uzomah go, but if you chase the money rather than the rings, you end up with what you deserve in the end.

  34. Good move. He fills a invaluable spot on the Inactive List every week.

  35. I don’t mind Johnson tendered at that price. Obviously he’s nothing special but he provides decent depth and still isn’t even 25 years old yet.
