  1. Not just getting there...they have to LOSE for you to win the bet...if you make the +2000 bet and they WIN the Super Bowl you get nothing...big difference.
  2. Since it was brought up...it sure seems like TQL stadium (FCC soccer) seems to host LOTS of non-sporting events that are publicized...I just don't see the same level of non-sporting events with Paycor. Just wondering if my perception is accurate? If so, is there some reason Hamilton County is not using Paycor more? Maybe it's just not as conducive for other events as TQL or just not as new and in vogue.
  3. Just get it done already please and thank you.
  4. Hmmmm...why Njoku? They friends off the field? Some other connection? Just seems kinda random. What am I missing?
  5. Potentially a good point...however...I get the impression, and I_C actually asks the question below...but my impression is that it's not that he's unsigned, it's the reason he's unsigned. I haven't heard that other teams are trying to impose contract language loopholes to get around the standard NFL 1st round guaranteed money. Some reports even suggest that the NFLPA would have a valid grievance if implemented. Again, I haven't heard that being the case with unsigned rookies from other teams. Just build a bridge and get over it already...same with Trey.
  6. If this was the plan all along, can someone explain why the Bengals didn't do a better job of hiding their poker hand and actually get some trade value for him several months ago? I mean it quickly became clear he was not going to stick around, but I'm thinking there was a short period where the Bengals knew but other teams did not. Seems like there was some potential value there, no?
  7. ...and yet somehow, almost miraculously, the stealers back into the playoffs yet again...and lose first round, but still.
  8. Dear Family, GIve Trey a fair contract. Love, The Ghost of Paul Brown
  9. Hmmmm...interesting about Ragnow. He's only in his 7th season, only 29 years old, and playing very well. He was also looking for a new/better contract and was a holdout during Lions OTA's. So...is he really retiring for good? I'm guessing not.
  10. Got my vote too, and for those same reasons. The white-out was a very, very close second choice though and would be just fine with me too.
  11. I really feel like the Dolphins were short-changed by the "fight on land" assumption. I think they could take out a couple of the birds at least. Just sayin'.
  12. I voted 4-0 but I can see them just as easily being 2-2 or maybe even worse. Any given Sunday certainly factors into it. Playing Cleveland the first week is tenuous at best given the fact that we always start slow and somehow Cleveland has our number even when their team is really bad. Vikings game will be the toughest to win IMHO and could very well account for another loss. Will be interesting to see how the personnel changes come together especially at OLine and defense. Go Bengals!
  13. Can't really agree with this. How many close, come down to the wire, games did we end up winning thanks to Trey getting a key sack or QB pressure late in the game to seal the deal? Also a couple of times where he sucked it up and made plays injured at critical times in games. Don't know about anyone else, but I saw it on multiple occasions.
  14. Is that sweat running down his right cheek? Maybe the cafeteria lunch was spicy? Seriously, I continue to hold out hope for him. As someone else said earlier, if he can't see what "could be" from the recent signings, I don't know what else you can do. Short leash.
  15. 🙂 Honestly, had to look that one up...very interesting indeed! For those who don't know, Jess served 4 months in prison for forging a check and was still drafted by the Bengals. Paul Brown had his son Mike pick him up upon prison release and bring him directly to training camp in Wilmington. He started his Bengals career as SS, but soon switched to FB. Another fun fact is that Jess worked as a mortgage loan officer at Central Trust Bank in Cincy during the Bengals off seasons.
  16. Agreed. Too much and out of control. I have similar feelings about the transfer portal. Way too much movement and too easy. Teams change radically each year...speaking mostly about basketball here, but I assume it happens in other college sports all too frequently.
  17. Serious question (well, sort of anyway since its Cleveland)...but...to make it onto the famous "Cleveland QB Jersey", does said QB have to actually play in a regular season game or even start a regular season game? I assume so, right? Inquiring minds want to know.
  18. Hmmmm...not ideal.
  19. Would love to see a LB of that style on our defense again. I'm a big fan of Logan Wilson and think he's a real talent, but I also see Logan as more of a "technician" whereas guys like Thurman, Spikes, Queen, etc. are "thumpers" who aggressively kick ass and take names. Guys who are difference makers, flying around, and who opponents have to game-plan around. Assuming Campbell is anything like that and will be healthy soon, sign me up please.

  21. Along those same lines, saying that even if we end up with Ford and Patrick as starters we have not already improved. I'm not saying I'd be happy with that or that we should stand pat at that position, especially with sketchy depth, but I would still argue we are already better to some degree over rolling out Volson and Cappa.
  22. I'd say he doesn't have to, but if it did happen and he was the main reason or one of the main reasons, then I'd say yes without question. I've been a Bengals fan a long time, have seen alot of players over the years, and do feel that Burrow and Chase are truly special...generational. From a different perspective, and I know I'm being contrary to above, but I do question whether I'd call a player the greatest Bengal of all-time if he was still playing...not saying it couldn't happen, but it just feels different.
  23. Like Cricket, I too am curious, but unlike Cricket my curiosity is more along the lines of "what do they charge for an event like this?". Seems like it should be a reward/perk for being such a loyal season ticket holder, but if they charge fair market value it kinda seems otherwise. I'm guessing the reward/perk is simply the exclusive access?
