  1. This is why my hubby calls Burrow "the clipboard holder" and still thinks Herbert is better than Burrow.
  2. I didn't listen to the interview, but I did read the excerpts and I found that an interesting take. During the election, my husband was constantly getting emails from the Biden-Harris Campaign asking him to donate. I'm talking 15-20 emails daily. I don't know how he would up on their email list because he hates the Democrats. But in the meantime, and again, I don't know how I wound up on this list, but I got a text yesterday from the Young Americans for Freedom inviting me to register for a conference in San Diego for $20.00. First of all, I'm hardly young. Second of all, when I researched them, it is a conservative group, and this event wants to "continue the momentum gained from the election". I texted back to them that hell would freeze over before I would give them a dime or register for any of their events.
  3. The so-called evangelical Christians who worship Donald Trump take their cues from the Old Testament, but are willing to ignore the commandments "Thou shall not commit adultery" and "Thou shall not bear false witness" when it comes to Trump. Jimmy Carter took his cues from the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus about doing for others. He left the world a better place with his work post-presidency. The only people that Trump is going to make a better place for is the rich.
  4. Keep in mind that Burrow missed part of 2 years with injury, so I don't know that mileage is as much of an issue right now with him.
  5. Now you're talking. I always liked Wheat Chex the best.
  6. I don't because I don't believe in shielding criminals. However, I think Trump's deportation plans for people who have been here for 15-20 years, built a life, have a family, and are tax payers, even though they may have come in illegally originally, is going to shatter a lot of families, and Tom Homan's response, "Well, send them all back together," even the legal citizens and the children of these citizens, is insensitive. There was a lady here in Columbus who literally lived in a church for over 4 years so that she wouldn't be deported. Her husband is here legally, and her kids were born here. She was given legal status under Biden while she tries to become a citizen, now has a job, and is a tax payer. What about the 15,000-20,000 Haitian people in Springfield who are here legally under TPS? Trump has threatened to deport them. So, you're going to decimate a large part of the working force in Springfield for this? I'm not going to sit in a corner and whine. I'm going to do what my hubby did for the last 4 years, which is to scream at the TV every time something or someone comes on the screen that I don't like if I'm in the room, if my husband insists on continuing to watch Fox News. He promised me that he would stop watching Fox News if Trump won, but he's still watching it and still whining about Biden. I already have some good nicknames lined up for people.
  7. If you can't beat them, join them? Seems to me Bill Belicheck did something similar with Wesley Welker. He got sick of Welker beating them when he played for the Jets so Belicheck signed him.
  8. Wouldn't they get the winner of the Texans/Chargers?
  9. I hope that sitting their starters for 24-25 days comes back to bite them in the ass. Would serve them right!
  10. Wouldn't faze our neighbors in the least. I live in a "Live and let live" neighborhood pretty much.
  11. Gee, you think???
  12. I resemble that remark. Actually, hubby resembles that remark. He doesn’t take them down anymore because they’re too much trouble to put back up. That did serve us in good stead this year because he wouldn’t have been able to put them up. I wish he would take them down, though.
  13. I still need advice about my Christmas 🎄 tree. So far, I have one “take it down”, one “tough call” and one “burn it”. Help!
  14. That will be fun. Hubby and the young man are already debating draft picks, now that the Browns actually have a first round pick.
  15. Bills and Vikings for me. Lions 3rd choice. The Vikings won me $336 in an office football pool many years ago so I have a soft spot for them.
  16. Asterisk that. Most of those teams only played 16 games, not 17.
  17. 😂😂😂 You’re killing me tonight!
  18. The first of many games where the refs screwed us.
  19. I was rolling my eyes at the game balls for Ivey and Taylor-Britt. Ivey was the one who touched the punt and CTB had 2 PI penalties.
  20. FWIW, T.J. Watt was shut out yesterday. No sacks, no TFL, no tackles at all.
  21. And one playoff appearance last year with Joe Flacco. He was also Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2023.
  22. He didn’t turn over play calling until Watson got hurt, and the stats improved under Dorsey slightly. But their QB situation is still a mess.
  23. https://www.dispatch.com/story/sports/pro/browns/2025/01/05/ken-dorsey-andy-dickerson-fired-browns-nfl-moves-one-season/77380151007/?tbref=hp It’s already begun. Ken Dorsey and Andy Dickerson out in Cleveland after only one year. I don’t think that’s fair, given all the injuries Cleveland had on their OL and the shitstorm that Dorsey had to deal with at QB.
  24. IMO, the jury is still out on him. Keep in mind, he lost his job to Dustin Hopkins in Cleveland, and Hopkins is abysmal. I give him props for making 4 FGs last night in Acrisure, which is a tough place to kick, but none of them were really long. I know, he made a 59 yarder last week, but he missed an easier one also. I’m hoping that McPherson’s injury gives him time to get rid of his yips.
  25. Nope. Not at all. They deserve it. I would be enjoying it, too. 😂😂
