Absolutely Jason. If they could knock down their prices maybe $1.50 per sandwhich (I'm talking in terms of their operations in canada) they would wipe the floor with Subway.

Question please about HARDEES.

Where are they located mostly in the States?

There are none in Canada that I know of.

But when I lived in the Middle East, they were the kings of Dubai. Or maybe just the first American fast food franchise in. Seriously all over the place. I loved the Big Deluxe and their shakes. But haven't eaten at one, or seen on in about 12 years at least.

During 1995-96 in Montreal, Burger King had a promotion for a $1.40 whopper Cdn. Perfect for university life. I think there was a stretch where BK was a part of the daily diet for 3 months in a row for me and my friends. We stopped when we realised we couldn't get the smell of the Whopper special sauce off our fingers no matter how much we scrubbed and every burp reeked off it as well.

HA! Other than Pizza BK was the only American food we had in Nurenberg. Needless to say I stopped eating it for years after we moved back to the states.

One year in troy, the taco bell restaurant here, had someone shit on the taco and served it to a family...well they also had a secret sauce and it was piss. Needless to say, that taco bell was shut down for a couple months. I now restrain myself from any taco bell.

They put a special sauce on the Whoppers in Canada? Down here the only sauces are ketchup and mayo. Of course, you can always "have it your way"... why not just ask for it without the smelly sauce?

at some burger kings now they have a game similar to Plinko from the price is right, you drop a quarter in and you catch it on a little slider and you get a free whopper, dime you get a free drink, and nickle you get free fries, it suprisingly easy so i go in there and get a full meal for 40 cents its amazing

I think it was just ketchup and mayo as well. But combine them both and throw pickles and onions into the mix and it produced this smell which was like nuclear waste in terms of how long it stuck to your fingers. And I mean it was insane. You could chain 6 smokes in a row till you had the nicotine yellow colour on your finger and you could still smell it! (90 consecutive days of eating whoppers!)

I guess the easy way would have been like you said to avoid the ketchup and mayo and onions...but thats a key part of the burger.

I really like the Pizza Hut stuff as well. Man there is something so artificial and good about that smell....mmm.mmmm

This thread has completely inspired me. I think I will try to do the triple crown this Friday at work.

Small Pizza Hut Pan Pizza
BK Whopper
Harveys Poutine

(Poutine is this Frecn Canadin invention. Fries with cheese and gravy. It sounds pretty sick when you describe it, but it's so good.
