Young MC went platinum back when rappers were thrilled to go gold, that doesn't make him a decent rapper, that just means that unfortunately most of the people who buy rap have no idea what good rap is or they just like bullshit. So we have established that albums sells=jackshit, therefore just because a rapper(50 cents, Eminim, whoever) sells 10 million albums doesn't mean they are the best. I picked my top 10 based on lyrics, styles and people they have influenced, and longivity. Tupac, Biggie, and Big Pun all died(fuck you BengalBacker, just don't post, no reason to be an asshole) young and left millions of fans wanting much more. Biggie only put out 2 albums and still was considered one of the best ever, just study the lyrics from one of his songs and you will see why he had so many fans. Eminim is widely over-rated because of the color of skin, if he was black he would just be a dime a dozen, he's good but far from the best. Top 10 rappers today 1. Jay-Z 2. Nas 3. Jadakiss 4.
