Guest Bengal_Smoov
We all know how I voted, F---, I'm hoping the waste of flesh gets impeached. For everyone who says they like how Bush handled the war on terrorism I have one question for you. Where is Osama Bin Laden? You remember him right, the man who is supposedly responsible for the terror attack that made everyone fall in love with Bush. He was public enemy #1 until Bush decided to avenge his father failed assissination plot, now micheal jackson gets more media coverage. Bush is by far the worst president ever, it's so sad to see so many of my fellow Americans become brainwashed by propaganda and controlled by fear. Bush has run our economy into the ground, done nothing to stop the outsourcing of millions of jobs, started wars on false pretenses, done nothing to stop coporations(who he really works for) from further damaging our ecosystem, and ruined our relationships with many countries across the world. If people wanted to impeach Clinton for not telling the whole truth about getting a blow job, Bush should be impeached for not telling the whole truth about WMD's(the buck has to stop somewhere, why not with the President) and the Iraqi war. Jason
I was watching one of the morning news shows I forget which, and someone had a great idea, because the filibuster is a important thing to keep for policy purposes, let’s keep it, but get rid of it for presidential appointments. I think that’s a good compromise. They said that there is a belief that the republicans have the votes to get rid of it, I hope they don’t, I hope they take that compromise. [post="77315"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
That's all the Republicans have been talking about is getting rid of the fillibuster for appointments only. I would be content if they just forced a REAL filibuster!
BengalBeotch
I'm not so sure that Bush is the reason companies are outsourcing their work....I almost believe that Unions are PART of the reason...don't get me wrong..."some" unions are good and good for their employees but here is my theory... my husband is a UNION Millwright by trade...working in the auto industry...(was) he was permanently layed off... I don't blame Bush for that and alot of Union employees will disagree with me....if you don't understand how union works in big industries...let me give you an example.... You have a HUGE machine that obviously is responsible for a certain amount of auto parts per hour, per day.... say that machine breaks down...someone has to change out the belt to get it running...the company is losing thousands if not millions of dollars for every MINUTE that machine is down. Here is the problem...you've got... 2 millwrights, 1 electrician, 1 sheet metal worker....all these guys are making 20+ per hour.... and it takes everyone of them to accomplish this one job of changing out a belt...WHY? Because the Millwrights have to wait on the electrician to cut electrical supply, wait for the sheet metal worker to remove the panel before they can even begin to work on this machine....THEY CAN NOT TOUCH THAT PANEL... PERIOD. if a millwright decided to take it upon himself to turn the electric off or remove the metal panel he can get written up with a grievance, which in turn, makes the company pay the electrician, sheet metal worker for a specific amount of time for someone else doing their job....TOTALLY RIDICULOUS IN MY OPINION...a job that could have taken 2 guys at 20+ per hour is costing this company 4 guys at 20+ per hour PLUS grievence pay, all at the same time LOSING money for every minute that the machine is not running....Of course this is not the WHOLE reason why some companies are moving overseas but you get the picture right? How cost effective is it to employ 4 people to do 2 people's jobs? Maybe I'm totally wrong on this subject but I hear everything about my husbands job and hear about all the grievences that are constantly filed and I think.... no wonder it went belly up....maybe someone else here knows more than I do on union matters but I think as time goes on, the union promotes "laziness" as far as Bush and what kind of job he is doing...I think he works hard... I don't think he intentionally tries to hurt anyone....I think he does his best to be fair...therefore he got a B from me.
