eva4ben-gal
Jarmon To Declare For Supplemental Draft Posted by Aaron Wilson on June 8, 2009, 12:11 p.m. Ineligible for his senior year due to testing positive for a banned substance, University of Kentucky All-Southeastern Conference defensive end Jeremy Jarmon plans to declare for the NFL supplemental draft, according to Joe Schad of ESPN.com. Per the report, Jarmon is set for a physical and a meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday. Jarmon has scheduled a Pro Day campus workout for July 9, one week prior to the supplemental draft. Agent Jimmy Sexton is representing him. Although Jarmon didn’t want to reveal what triggered the positive test, he said he has informed NFL franchises. According to Ron Higgins of the Memphis Commercial-Appeal, Jarmon took a diuretic to lose weight for three weeks. “I told the NFL teams that have called that I don’t even have a speeding ticket,” Jarmon told ESPN.com. “If they take me they’re not going to have any off-the-field problems.” Jarmon, who has already graduated from Kentucky, started 31 games for the Wildcats and had 13 1/2 sacks and 100 tackles over the past two seasons.
Jarmon Career Statistics Year Position G-GS Tackles TFL-Yds. #22
Jarmon is a good kid, a bright kid (read his columns on KSR), and a very good football player, as those numbers indicate. A 3rd or 4th round pick would be a good bargain for this young man. His press conference almost had me in tears, by the way.

Bengals1181
from what I've been able to find of him on youtube, he seems like a little thicker version of Geathers.
eva4ben-gal
What round do you think he goes in in the regular draft? With those numbers and his seemingly good character he seems like he could have been a second rounder. Since we already have a pretty solid DE unit I wouldn't want the Bengals to give up a second but I wouldn't mind them throwing a third out there and then if they get him he can take Rucker's spot. Jarmon sounds like an instant upgrade there. Then you bring in Ellis to take Fanene's spot and you've added a wiley veteran and another young guy that could develop into a stud so it doesn't matter if Ellis is a one-year or a four-year deal. It sure would be nice to have four/five ends that you can start and not have to worry (assuming Jarmon and Johnson both became starting caliber ends). Vol_Bengal
I don't know where he's valued at... But, he got major-league screwed by the NCAA. Great kid - good student. Everything the NCAA supposedly wants their student-athletes to be, never has made a mistake until this incident and they drop the bomb on him over a diuretic... Great job, dumbasses. God I hate the NCAA - they're like Goodell.
BBR
For those of you interested.... he went to the Redskins for a 3rd round pick. Redskins select Jarmon in Supplemental draft That's probably too high of a pick for what the Bengals would have needed him for - depth in case Geathers can't go because of injury. He would have had to beat out Rucker, Fanene or McDonald to make it here.
#22
That's about where he should have gone. The Redskins are starting to rival the NY Giants in terms of depth on the Defensive Line.
