LOLLOL...Lap was going on and on saying the ravens get a first down after the fanene penalty even after Brad told him it was a post play penalty and its Bengals ball.
I know I heard him. I had heard the ref say POST possesion too.
I was like STFU Lap it is OUR BALL. Brad told him but Lap STILL kept ranting
Brad told him again and he was like "No it is the Ravens ball 1st and 10.
Brad was like "No it is the Bengals ball" and Lap was like "Oh."

Rapid Reaction: Bengals 17, Ravens 7

November 8, 2009 4:13 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's James Walker

CINCINNATI -- The Bengals took one step closer Sunday to claiming the AFC North title.

One of the NFL's biggest surprises, the Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens for the second time this season with a 17-7 victory at Paul Brown Stadium. Cincinnati improved to 6-2 and 4-0 in the AFC North, while the Ravens fell to 4-4 and 1-2 in the division.

The Bengals were dominant early by taking a 17-point lead into intermission. Baltimore's secondary struggled mightily against the pass and was either giving up big catches or big penalties to keep Cincinnati's scoring drives alive.

Bengals tailback Cedric Benson (117 yards) also reached triple digits rushing against Baltimore for the second time this season. Cincinnati's defense was aggressive throughout and held the lead despite the Bengals going scoreless in the second half.

Cincinnati, which beat every team in the division at least once, can take the AFC North with a win next week over the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2).

Meanwhile, the veteran Ravens are in deep trouble. They've lost four of their last five and desperately need to string together wins in the final eight games to compete for a wild-card berth in a crowded field in the AFC.

A kickass win, but definitely some things that need to be improved. I don't know whether our offense just got conservative or Baltimore adjusted that well, but to have scored nothing in the second half after our 1st half performance was a bit concerning. Numerous injuries happened - with the biggest being Henry. Hopefully Rivers' calf injury isn't anything major and he can suit up next week. We'll definitely have to play better than today to beat Pittsburgh. Also, recall when we'd all clamor about Chad not getting the YAC? His ball security seems to be an issue; its probably better off if he just fall over. <_<

The win is sweet though. :icon15: Bring on the Steelers! :machinegunyellow:

I really wanted to come away with at least three after Leon's pick. We had good field position there.

I wouldn't get too worried about the 2nd half lack of scoring. We had our lead, and needed to avoid mistakes against a desperate, ball hawking team. You see how they were tugging at the ball all the time? They needed turnovers.

Hope the Ravens get ready to beat the Steelers twice the rest of the the way.
