Prospect of the Week: WR Leonard Hankerson

Recommended Posts

So I'm watching video of prospects, and thought it would be cool if we make threads each week highlighting a player at a potential position of need. Not necessarily the big names.

My "I want that guy" choice of the day:

WR Leonard Hankerson, Miami U.

6'3" 215lbs, 4.57 40 time.

Considered one of the top, if not the top (him or Pettis) senior wideouts.

Broke Michael Irvin's single season TD record last week.

Rated anywhere from a late 1st round to 3rd round pick (rankings are all over the place this time of year).

Draft Countdown has him as the #1 senior and Pettis as #11

He's been tearing it up with a shitty QB: 57 receptions, 958 yards, 12 tds

I think he would definitely be a consideration for our 2nd rounder.

You do realize that 2nd video is footage from a video game right...?

its has real plays mixed in. There weren't alot of highlight videos of him, and I didn't want to post just singular plays.

Glad the videos are showing up, they aren't for me. Though I horribly need to restart my computer right now!

Reminds me of T.O.

I bet he does not last till the second round....

in a normal year IMO he'd probably be a first rounder.

However, it's a deep WR class this year, assuming all the expecteds come out.

Julio Jones and AJ Green are sure-fire first rounders.

Jonathan Baldwin will probably be a first rounder.

Then you also have Michael Floyd and Austin Pettis. They may not go in the first, but they may go higher than Hankerson.

One thing is for sure, there's going to be some high quality WR's at the top of the 2nd round, which is why I don't see spending a first rounder on one.

I made a similar comment in another thread a little bit ago: Would you pass on a Brandon Marshall in the first if you could still get a Miles Austin in the 2nd? I would, and use the first rounder on the dline.

But...but...what if we get a Jerome Simpson? :panicbutton:
