DUNEDIN (FOX 13) -

A 61-year-old man is battling with a 12-year-old kid over a lemonade stand.

Yes, a lemonade stand.

T.J. Guerrero, 12, spends his weekends selling different flavors of lemonade and cookies at the corner of San Salvador Drive and Patricia Avenue.

One of his neighbors, Doug Wilkey, 61, apparently has a big problem with it.

The Tampa Bay Times first reported, since May 2013 Wilkey has sent several emails to Dunedin City officials complaining about trash, traffic, illegal parking, noise and that Guerrero's lemonade stand is hurting his property value.

City officials responded and explained that the city is not in the business of putting lemonade stands out of business, and the case was closed.

T.J. got quite the surprise Monday afternoon when he got home from school.

Hundreds of thirsty people had stopped by looking for lemonade and a chance to meet T.J.

"This is amazing," T.J. said. "I definitely did not know they were doing this. I just got a call from a friend saying they were."

Referring to The Mike Calta Show on 102.5 The Bone, T.J. quickly joined one of the show's members, "Spanish" as he poured cup after cup of lemonade.

I looked at this a little closer.  The kid doesn't even live where he set up shop.  He did receive permission from the owner of the property to put his sign and stand up in the shade of a corner lot.

Look at the map in satellite.  Anybody that stops for lemonade will inevitably block the thoroughfare from pedestrians and other drivers.  Wilkey has reported his vehicle being damaged and property having trash etc... thrown on it.

T.J. Guerrero sells lemonade and cookies from 3 to 7 p.m., and got permission to place his sign in a neighbour's lawn in Dunedin, Florida.

"It's all about profit," Guerrero told the paper.

Wilkey alleges Guerrero's friends make noise, swear and throw rocks and garbage onto his lawn. He also complains about customers parking in front of his home, which Guerrero and others deny.

T.J. lives four doors down from Wilkey but places his stand on the shaded sidewalk in front of Rodney Shrode's corner lot home next door to Wilkey's.

This angry old man is now signing off.  Don't give up the fight Mr. Wilkey  :265:

He's probably illegal, he has a hispanic sounding name.  Definitely shut it down, tell him to go back to his own country and if need be, as Go has mentioned, shoot him.  Probably just best to shoot him off the bat.   He's probably dangerous and stole a pack of gum when he was 5.  Criminals deserve to be shot.  Immediately.
