If they're going to dump Dalton I'd rather get some game manager vet in FA than stick a potential franchise QB rookie behind a JUCO-quality line

 

QB is the final piece IMO, not a starting point.  Dalton is plenty good enough for the current roster.

For one thing, I can see them qualifying for an even higher draft pick before the season ends.

 

As we all know, they are in dire need of OT and LB help in the worse way.

 

Therefore, they will take a quarterback.  That's the way the Bengals are.

Unless they trade down with someone who really wants a quarterback and Mikey can get

what his black little heart most desires, more draft picks.

All indications are that Mike Brown really likes Dalton.  I would be very surprised to see him draft a QB in the first round.  And, yes, you bet Mike Brown has final say on the first round picks.
