Seems to be equal parts younger Iranians celebrating & "Israel did this" at the moment.  Video from the ground shows heavy fog with a visibility of about 100m tops so probably not Israel (unless you're one of those people that thinks Jews control the weather, AKA a Republican voter).

He and several others are now confirmed dead 

Helicopter crashes are tricky, but based on the way he treated the women in his country I can say there are a lot of happy Iranians right now..

Can't say I'm all that optimistic that someone down the chain that ends up promoted, won't be just as bad or worse.

While that's probable, there's been a sort of slow burn revolution happening in Iran the past couple of years. Secret police disappearing people, riots, basij & hardline mullahs being attacked, firebombing the stations of the "morality police"..  Their government is just barely keeping a lid on it, I think they're going to have to make some concessions somewhere.

 

It's very underreported but from what I can gather there's a growing resistance among the younger generations. We just don't hear about it much (let alone do anything to support them) because they're not white Christian Europeans. Much as I support Ukraine resisting a Russian invasion the difference between how that's handled vs Syria, Iran, Congo, Myanmar, etc etc exposes our hypocrisy.

All I did was point out the different attitudes, it's glaringly obvious when we start talking about something like war refugees. 

 

Why are you so sensitive about it?  None of your problems are because of minorities, immigration, or people on welfare (who are, again, mostly white southerners).
