Bengals FA Signings - 2025
why not? he did well rotating 4 positions week to week. probably do even better penciled in and working from one position... right? run stopper, cool tee is already under contract, we have tee. fuck this bitch. i almost dont think of starters and backups anymore at DT.. sort of a 4-5 guy rotation of snaps and sitautions.. they probably ARE the first snap starters, but if there is a loss of 2 on first down in comes a pass rusher DT instead.. so it is what it is. we dont know that they didnt call and agent said he doesnt want to live in fucking cincinnati. went to a warm weather city, with (i think) lower taxes. and close to LA and dallas flight wise. and plays indoors half the season. always good durability. agreed for ME its that they are all able to shop around, and see that teams arent willing to give them much more than what we offer AND give up a pick for them, so the reality sets in of sure maybe New engald would pay tee 31 a year for 5 years, but if they give up a first rounder or two, they arent willing to take him at all, or maybe at 27/year, so instead of his agent filling his head with "hold out and on the market you can get 31mil" its "well you can get 27 or 26.4" sort of a realization.. and i think Trey is having the same experience. Crosby gets a dumbass deal that he will never finish, Trey wants that deal, goes shopping, no ones offering that deal, especially with having to give up a pick in a deep ass DL draft.. back to reality..

ill look that up, i dont think ive ever done that before. thanks!

That's an expensive BJ
he outperformed DJ reader by a large margin last year rating wise and statistically. im sort of surprised by the signing with the deep draft class but cant be too deep at DT as we found out last year playing dudes off their couch. im guessing Hills deal is really a 1 year deal with an out after next season with a hit of 2-5mil if they choose to do so.

OK... so im switching Customer loyalty programs for my retail stores. sorry for the offtopic post but thems the breaks... I can export customers, and it will export: Customer ID, Name, Phone, Email I can export rewards points, and that report will export Customer Email, Name, and Rewards points Balance. I need to end up with a report that is customer ID and rewards points balance. NOTE** - Some customers have an email, some have a phone number, few have both. so i need to made a spreadsheet that takes the customer ID as a staple of data, and the balance as a staple of data, and use a mix of the phone numbers and email addresses to match up those two staple points. Pivot tables? whats my best method of figuring this out? Going from a program thats $600/mo to one thats $99/mo so saving $6000 a ear for the company.

A look back at draft success.Because obviously only the bengals miss on draft picks, right?
Lets look at the 2020 draft and see how that went for everyone. Success: A top performer for the majority of the 5 years in the league. OK Pick: still around but either injury or average play. Missed pick: Gone from team. 1. Joe Burrow - Success - one of the best in the league. 2. Chase Young - Miss, abot to be on his third team, averages 8 games a year, had 1 good season his rookie season. 3. Jeff Okudah - Miss, consistent poor coverage corner, on multiple teams in 5 year window. 4. Andrew Thomas - Success, started slow but several good years of play. 5. Tua Tagovalailoa - OK pick, (miss for me personally) got extension, but injuries are off the rails, id say miss, thoughts? 6. Justin Herbert - Success, franchise caliber QB, B tier guy. 7. Derick Brown - Success, 2 great years, 2 average and 1 poor, overall a success. 8. Isaiah Simmons - Missed Pick, not on the team and poor grades. 9. CJ Henderson - Missed, third team in 5 years, poor grades. 10. Jedrick Willis - Missed pick, 5 year starter, but medicore grades, 50's and 60's grades overall. really close to a Miss honestly. not good for top 10 pick. 11. Mekhi Becton - Miss, gone from team, switched positions to hve a good season this pas year, but terrible pick for them. 12. Henry Ruggs - Miss, lol, jesus. killed someone, out of the league 13. Tristan Wirfs - Success, great pick. 14. Javon Kinlaw - Miss, poor grades and on a different team. 15. Jerry Jeudy - Success pick, productive WR #1 guy. 16. AJ Terrell - Success, good corner. 17. Ceedee Lamb - Success, good production, extended, clear #1 guy. 18. Austin Jackson - OK pick, 1 season graded outside og the 50's, but still on team and playing. 19. Damon Arnette - Miss, lol, jesus. 20. Klavon Chaisson - OK Pick, 4 years of medicore at best grades and last year solid grade, stil on team. 21. Jalen Raegor - Missed pick, on 4 teams in 5 years, ouch. 22. Justin Jefferson - Success, hot damn what a pick. 23. Kenneth Murray - OK i guess, close to a miss, some really poor grades but some OK ones.. still there. so okay IMO 24. Cessar Ruiz - OK pick, mostly below average grades but a few good pass blocking, still on team and playing. 25. Brandon Aiyuk - Success, productive, stil lthere, some injuries. 26. Jordan Love - Success, solid QB sat a bit, but anytime you have a solid starte qb its a win. 27. Jordyn Brooks - Success, slow first 4 years but great season this past year. 28. Patrick Queen - success, bastard. 29. Isaiah Wilson - Miss, no data for last year and on multiple teams. 30. Noah Igbinoghene - Miss, horrible grades but still there. 31. Jeff Gladney - Missed, not on a team. 32. Clyde Edwards Helaire - Miss, could argue OK, but basically out of the league and not palying, for a first round pick youd like them to be around and performing.. SUCCESSFUL PICKS: 13 OK PICKS: 5 BAD MISSED PICKS: 14

Trey'd Hendrickson? I don't think so.
yea thats not true, they are seeking a late first or early 2nd round pick for Trey.

thats all very exciting. the bengals dont fuck players or themselves on deals, there will be players who only care about the headline dollars, which they will never see, and there are teams who only care about locking a player in no matter what, and they are firing another coachand gm and restructuring deals. the cowboys already need to restructure Prescott and Lamb, who they just signed, the browns are, for the third time, restructred Watson, the chargers are dropping Bosa, Davonte adams scammed the raiders out of 28mil a year 5/$140mil deal.. he saw $61 mil of $140 mil and is headed for his 4th team in 5 years... stop acting like throwing huge money at all good players is just "the perfectly sound right way to do things". its clearly not. now letting every talented player walk isnt either... they gotta find th eright mix, and thats just the gamble of sports.. they could let tee go and Chase tear and achillies, and never be the same and be on the roster for 37mil. no one knows.

Cincinnati Bengals Release Alex Cappa, Add Extra Cap Space Ahead of Free Agency
yea man its march. what does it matter who is on the roster when he is released? if your comment isnt insinuating we arent going to add any guards at all and roll with what we got.. then what is the point of that comment? did you know the only player under contract for 2029 is joe burrow? how are we even going to be able to PLAY A GAME WITH JUST A QB ON THE ROSTER?!?!?!

Report: Bengals are rebuffing Tee Higgins trade interest
i dont think there is a market at all for Metcalf, not from any team with common sense. he is a dumbass and a pain in the ass. and a 32 mil cap hit for 2025. he is worth a 4th or 5th rounder. sounds like a raider to me..
-
Trey'd Hendrickson? I don't think so.
100% agree, and you arent really going to replace the sack leader, 31 teams last season didnt have the sack leader.. and all but like 5 of those teams were also better than us on defense. Id expect him to find that no teams are willing to give an early 2nd or late first for him AND pay him high money.. and he comes back and stays for close to what his market value really is. The crosby deal is a depareate team cligning to all they have on the roster and overpaying by a landslide.. meanwhile Joey Bosas are being cut. Hopefully its sorted out, losing him would blow ass, but trey is the 67th ranked run defense DE. there are 64 starting DE's. pass pressure if phenominal. no question, truly a great player and seemingly person, great motor, great attitude, plays through all the pain... but he isnt without flaws as well. This is a bit dramatic. Trey is great, he gets sacks, there are some things he doesnt do great, but if you open up that need as well it alters the draft needs and free agent targets, but the things that killed the defense was poor tackling, getting run all over (which trey isnt great at) and the secondary in shambles. if i could trade trey for a top 10 safety and a top 20 corner, id do that in a heartbeat and we would probably win 4 more games than last year. while trey was the most exceptional player on defense he isnt the most important.. not giving up endless 3rd downs and letting the team run on us to kill clock is far more important. and frankly just health and a better use of talent should be a vast improvement.

Sam Hubbard retiring
jesus fucking christ. Hey, until they actually act like a serious franchise I will continue to assume they will operate as they always have. They have not earned the benefit of the doubt. If they lose these guys becuase they wont do the right guarantee amounts then they might as well sell the team. lmao. all of the teams giving into wild numbers and huge guarantees are cutting those players and restructuring a year later to save themselves from themselves and are constantly firing GMs and coaches anda rent winning a god damn thing. why is that "the right way to do it" somehow?

Sam Hubbard retiring
im not sure they drop stone, i think he slides through, i could see it if they draft a safety in the first or second maybe. Pratt they are hoping for a trade partner, his contract isnt horrible, and if the bengals eat a mil of it, they save a mil on cap hit and the other teams get a vet for 7 mil. can they convince someone to give up a late round pick to grab him or not is the question. lolol. build a statue of a play in an early round playoff game ? not even the most exciting playoff game. that doesnt seem like a worth event. jesus fucking christ. i dont think he fits the ideal candidate for what Golden is trying to do on defense.

The Bengals foolishly painted themselves into a corner with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins

EXCEL, MATH, SCIENCE problem..... anyone have any thoughts?
yes! I didnt know if anyone knew or would care about the details of that part, so I didnt dive in too far. I figure if i can manage finding the process, regardless of the data source, i can hopefully accomplish the goal... Im sure ill be back with a data dump and see what folks think i may be missing or may be omitted. Currently down 3-5 people at my warehouse depending on the day so sadly im doing 2-3 peoples jobs in the meantime, then i can dive back into this project. Did some brief comparisons with similar flavorings, there is something there, there are a few that are so damn similar. whats odd is one, has a bourbon burn to it, so if its involved they had to use something to eliminate that burning flavor, which is probably too high tech for these folks...

Mock of the day, using Goodberry's concensus big board
I like Will Johnson but it isnt that much of a room upgrade i dont think. also wierd to have 3 michigan DB's in the room but whatever.. Pros: I guess youre locked in for CB's for a while, WJ being the #1, CTB should be a great #2, Turner/Hill being the #3 and slot guys.. thats a very very solid group... Cons: CTB coverage wise was in the top 20-ish range in 2023, can the new coaches and scheme get him back there? or better? if so your upgrade is marginalized. The risk isnt worth not adding a body, i was expecting more of a reliable veteran like Awuzie-type guy in free agency.. I keep expecting DT but also keep hearing DT is filthy deep this draft so the 17th range and second round isnt a huge drop off... so why go with them at 17

Cincinnati Bengals Release Alex Cappa, Add Extra Cap Space Ahead of Free Agency
100%, i thought he was just surrounded by shit and having an off year here or there, but when i heard he had a lingering injury from 2023 that wasnt recovering well from or should i say wasnt able to come back from and play at a high level, like was healthy but bad now.. it was clearly time to go. onto the next one.

Bengals will tag Tee again
hubbard and rankins dont have shit to do with shit. i dont think it is... seems like a farse to seem like we require two top wr weapons with joe at QB. the problems occur when the Wr is out at the last second fucking the week of prep and gameplan. we are arguably the best WR in the sport and possibly the best QB in the sport, needing more weapons is a big wild. Id say signing Mike G would be a requirement at that point, but spending high draft captial especially in a WR poor draft, is a bad plan and an unnecessary one. IMO that sure is a strange way of saying "if chase wasnt a fucking asshole and holding out with two fucking years left on his deal, even holding the team hostage until the MORNING of the game, they could have won..."

TE Offseason 2025
for sure. be great to snag one of those guys.

DE Offseason 2025
why are you worried about what PDJ says? his only "source" is a PR person, hes been around that long and doesnt have any real contacts becuase he is a fucking dumbass. He has no information that isnt given to all media, ever. he doesnt even have agent conenctions, which is almost impossible. I HAVE AGENT CONNECTIONS and i dont even live in that fucking state. as for the rest.. you can lump everyone on defense into one pot. yes many guys underperformed, but theyll have to sort through the ones that could be age/injury (hubbard, possible scheme (Stone), where they are worth a spot on the roster this year (Hill) if at all, can hill be th starting DT? probalby fucking not.. can he take 4 mil a year to be a depth/rotation guy? sure. Does hubbard want to take a giant pay cut to be a rotation guy? sure im down.. do they think stone can play a real role? if so is that role worth his current pay? Rankins gotta fucking go and everyone has said he will. Pratt gotta go, and seems they told him to find a home or he will be dropped, no one else on earth requests a trade in February unless they were told to do so. lots of changes gotta happen, but probably not as many as everyone thinks. a healthy hill turner and a less complex scheme related issue mess and we are probably the 22nd rated defense and win 11 games. so we are re0inventing the wheel here. you can probably add 2-3 rotation or better free agents and 2 day one starter or rotation draft picks.. but i much prefer, money willing of course, dropping the lowest talent guys, and dropping down the starter guys worth keeping to smaller roles, and inserting a mix of new fresh young talent and free agents.. Golden cant stop knobbing Wilson so his job is def safe. Pratt may as well not exist to him. He also talked highly of Wilson and Davis in the CB room. i almost expect no CB changes at this point unless there is a veteran depth peice. smells like a bad podcaster and the althetic bottom feeder talking to himself in a vortex of the offseason.

TE Offseason 2025
#thatswhatshesaid but yea no matter what, if you pay Tee and Chase, your return on investment of a TE with 70mil ayear at WR isnt going to be a great one. unless someone gets hurt for a long period of time..

TE Offseason 2025
this may be the position group i care least about.. All was a much better safety valve player than Sample could be, but at the end of the day even a great TE is a 3rd or 4th option in the offense.. All never had more than 32 receiving yards, there is no where near the upside for spending any real draft capital on the spot, nothing before the 4th or 5th, so aside from a free agent star looking to chase a ring i dont see any fireworks here.. Geisecki would be great, but he is a WR anyway..
-
DT Offseason 2025
im not sure if Hill fits Goldens wants on DL or not.. time will tell, i like hill, but he is an avearage rotation guy, and with two solid young rotation guys hill may not be worth keeping. hell his job may depending whats in the draft. this is one of those DT deep as fuck drafts where you can score top tallent in rounds 2-3. so depending how other dominos fall, a pick may be a much better option than hill. unless he wants pennies to be a depth guy.
