  1. I know a lot of people who won Iowa didn’t win the nomination. Didn’t Rick Santorum win Iowa, too, I’m thinking in 2012?
  2. That’s what I was saying to my husband the other night when he was devouring the results. Aside from being first in the nation, why is Iowa so important? They only have 40 delegates, it’s not winner takes all, and less than 20% of registered Republicans came out to vote.
  3. Not to mention in-game intelligence and leadership. Hence, the reason why I would take Burrow over Herbert every time. (Which I can't seem to get through to my hubby no matter how hard I try.)
  4. Too bad they didn't get rid of Bill Callahan, too. I'm kind of surprised at this, considering all of the injuries that they had on their offense, and the lack of talent at WR (aside from Amari Cooper) that they had to work with. I guess Kevin Stefanski is taking all of the credit for their success in spite of the injuries, especially since his name is being bandied about as a COTY winner. (Which I think is going to go to DeMeco Ryans,, or it should.)
  5. And Clowns lose with picks that Houston acquired from them.
  6. I didn’t see a thread for this started so I figured this would be a good place put this. The Henry siblings moved back to North Carolina. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/high-school-sports/2024/01/13/withrow-standout-chris-henry-jr-and-siblings-leave-cincinnati/72215679007/?itm_medium=recirc&itm_source=taboola&itm_campaign=internal&itm_content=MobileBelowHomepageFeed-FeedRedesign They went back to live with their mom.
  7. My son was worried about this game all week. Now he can go to Panama Super Bowl week with a clear conscience.
  8. You don't live with one of their fans and didn't raise one. Although, they have been quiet this week (at least hubby has. I haven't heard from the son since Monday.)
  9. Geez, even when Pisspuke is supposed to be on the road, they get the benefit of potentially being a "home" team if this moves to Cleveland.
  10. Denzel Ward hurt. Will be a game time decision. https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2024/01/denzel-ward-suffers-knee-injury-in-thursdays-practice-and-is-questionable-for-texans-game-grant-delpit-and-others-ruled-out.html?outputType=amp
  11. I remember watching it live at The Lighthouse in Clifton.
  12. That was Joe Nash with Seattle in 1988 faking the injuries to slow down the hurry up offense. The Bills the following week whined about the hurry up so the Bengals were informed right before the game that they couldn't use it. We did beat Buffalo in the first playoff game in 1981 before playing San Diego. San Diego the week before played in the extremely hot (90 degrees) overtime game in Miami and them came to Cincinnati to play in below -0- conditions.

  15. Is signing Orlando Brown and Nick Scott going to offset these somehow, or are you incorporating this into the equation?
  16. I think they will. He’s an ERFA so basically he’s stuck with us if we want him to be.
  17. Oops! Forgot about KC. Don’t want them to win either.
