You could take it to a shop and ask them and they would be more than happy to give you a price. I would think around $200 - $250. Just my guess. Are you planning on getting it locally or are you getting it out of town? Just curious. Wherever you go check out the reputation of the shop and the artist who will be doing it. When we were on JT's board, he saw my tattoo and asked if I cared if he did something similar. I sent him my artwork and asked him to change it a little so mine would still be unique. He had them add some sprigs of grass, and his looks to be a little bigger than mine, but yeah.... Maybe everyone on the board should get it. CP9Bengals Posted May 18, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 I just got back from vacation, and I finally got my Bengals tattoo. Took about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and 300 bucks! I look at it as a compliment that someone else liked it enough to get one like it. I just hope he tells people where he got it from. And I hope he doesn't commit any crimes that I get blamed for. MULLY Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 Man, just let me say this. When you get to where you're going make sure you look at the tats the artist did in the past. There should be plenty of photos in the shop. If you see some work that you're really impressed with insist on getting that same person to do it. There are a lot of tattoo artists out there and some are better than others. If you're going to do this I'd suggest you get someone that is really good at what they do. Also, you said you were going to get it done the night before you go home. I can tell you now that getting it done is going to hurt, don't let anyone tell you differently, it hurts. You'll have to keep it moist for about a week after you get it. They'll suggest some medicinal cream for you to use. You'll also be advised to keep plastic wrap over it for the first few days, with the cream on it. It's going to burn like a bitch those first few days but once you get past that you'll be in the clear. Just be warned that if you have a long flight you may not want to sit there with a burning tattoo under your clothes. hehe!! With that said, you may want to wait until you get back home to get it done. I had one done on my back when I was in Florida and then I had a 15 hour flight back to Japan 2 days later. Mistake. Most uncomfortable flight ever. Of course mine is on my back so leaning back into the seat sucked all kinds of ass. Once you get past having to keep the cream on it it will scab up. DO NOT PICK THE SCABS. You can easily remove color that way. Not totally remove it but noticably remove it. Good luck with whatever you do. In no way am I trying to persuade you to not get it done. Just letting you know what you're in for before you do it. Rock on!! MULLY P.S. If you decide to wait until you get back to Cincy I've heard that Dana's Tattoos in Cincinnati does pretty good work.
