I mean Cham is mainstream now but he's still sick with it. But the best music is the stuff you don't hear on radio and tv. My favorite artists are 1) The Last Emperor - lyrically the tightest MC on the planet 2) Chamillionaire - so versaitile, killed the underground mixtape scene, and proved he can make hot catchy songs too or still just freestyle some hot shit 3) Joe Budden - "Pump it Up" is a horrible representation of him, most people know of him from that song cause it was on radio and madden 03. But he is so sick on the rest of his album as well as mixtapes 4) Lloyd Banks - I know he's mainstream, but his shit off mixtapes and the songs off his album that didn't get no airplay are damn good 5) Pharoahe Monch - incredible flow, incredible lyrical skills, check him out if you dont know him 6) Gift of Gab - the best rapper people have never heard of 7) Tragedy Khadafi - few are as skilled as he is, a deep intellectual rapper with hard lyrics 8) Talib Kweli - a concious rapper with great musical content 9) Mobb Deep - it's a shame the young kids only know of them since the signed to g-unit, they were on top of the rap game in the 90's. 10) 50 Cent - I'm talking his old music, that shit's good. off of Power of the Dollar, and Guess Who's Back, and get rich or die tryin was good to though other honerable mentions, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Aceyalone Big Daddy Kane Ras Kass JR Writer Nas 2Pac Papoose One Be Lo Pastor Troy Rakim Young Buck Black Rob DMX Jay-Z Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cause other than a couple artists, i dont' really like the south that much. I also like Lil Wayne, Juvenile, guys like that. My favorite PT songs are: Vice Versa-that's his best song Mo Play In GA No Mo Play In GA pt 2 Ridin Big-not a real lyrical song, lol, but its aight Me Actin Up-my favorite song off of his newer CD And Papoose needs to make an album wit a major record company.
