Lane is really locked in at the moment. Your starting pitching completely shut the Stros down, but the pen...ouch

Still one more chance for the Redlegs, and Wheels went 2 full innings last night

Perhaps it will be a good thing if the Reds get off to a shitty start, at least that will lower our expectations and won't make it such a surprise when they are at or near first place in the Central at the All-Star break before going into their predictable late-season skid.
Hey, maybe if they suck it up now, they'll turn it around later in the year! Reverse psychology and all...nahh, nevermind. Weathers and Coffey are still on our team. Goddammit!
I hate the Reds sometimes, and yet every year, I get sucked into watching and listening to every game I can catch.
HORRIBLE loss tonight. I hope Narron lets them have it.
Where can I find the contract lengths for all the reds players? I thought it might be on Reds.com but I couldn't find it there.
I found a website that gives a very nice breakdown of the opening day roster.

Josh Hamilton of
1 year/$0.38M (2007)

signed 2/07

acquired in trade (from Chicago Cubs) 12/06
drafted # 3 (from Tampa Bay) in Rule 5 draft 12/06

sent outright to minors 11/05

suspended indefinitely 3/04 for violations of MLB substance abuse policy
drafted 1999 (1-1), $3.96M signing bonus

agent: Casey Close
ML service:
Josh Hamilton used to pitch, make him an outfielder/reliever.
All the Reds pitchers would get embarrassed by seeing that an outfielder can throw harder than most of them.

and the Astros did that the past 2 nights against the Reds bullpen.

he also had some disgusting off speed pitches too and could have been the # 1 pick as a pitcher or bat, but teams figured if they were taking him # 1 and he could hit they should play him everyday. He does have better stuff than almost anyone on our team.
